1971 Porsche 911E Up for auction here is a 1971 Porsche 911E coupe restoration project. As you can see from the photos. this vehicle will require a complete restoration before being drivable but given the low production numbers for this particular model. it's certainly a worthy candidate. According to the 911E registry Porsche only built 1088 "E" coupes in 1971 and restored examples. when they do come to market. often command more than $100. 00 so unlike other "project cars" on the market. one car easily justify the time and cost it will require for a proper restoration. This car has been owned by the same family for 30+ years. but now it needs a new home with someone who has the time and energy to finish the job. In the sections below I have tried to give an honest and accurate representation of what you're getting for your money. but if you have questions about something I failed to address please send me a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Body: The body on this Porsche has rust in some of the typical places but looks to be reasonably solid overall. The worst areas of rust look to be the rear floor pans and the deck lid. as can be seen in the photos. The rockers appear to be solid as do the other structural members and suspension mounting points. I've tried to show the worst of it in the photos but higher resolution copies are available via email if there is something you would like to see in greater detail. As they say. a picture is worth a thousand words so you should be able to see everything you need to get an accurate representation of the body condition from the photos below but. as always. please message me if there is something in particular that I haven't shown. This car was originally finished in Albert Blue. Porsche code 1818 and will be absolutely stunning if refinished in that color. At the end of this section I have included a photo of a restored car that is also Albert Blue to give you a good idea of what it originally looked like when it left the factory. Here is what this car will look like if refinished in the original color of Albert Blue: Mechanical: I don't know much about the mechanical condition of the car other than to say that everything looks to be present and accounted for. One of the exhaust manifolds is off of the motor but is laying in the front floorboard and the plastic shroud around the steering column was unscrewed. so it looks like the owner must have been doing a little work on it when he parked it some 25 years ago. Nonetheless. it's a very complete car and shouldn't require any searching for missing parts. The photos below should show the general overall condition of the mechanical systems. Interior: As with the rest of this Porsche. the interior is weathered and dirty but looks to be complete for the most part. It will require a complete restoration as well but you shouldn't have to spend a lot of time hunting missing parts. From what I can tell it looks like the original radio is probably the biggest item missing. Please study the photos below to get a good idea of the overall condition of the interior. Other: Below are photos of the paint tag. VIN tag and wheels. If there is anything you would like to see that I've failed to show. please message me and I will do my best to get more photos for you. Please Note: I've tried to be honest and thorough in my description but if you have any questions about anything that I missed. please shoot me a message through eBay and I'll get back to you ASAP. The car is available for inspection during the course of this auction to serious bidders (please. no tire kickers) by appointment only. A non-refundable deposit of $500 will be due within 48 hours of the auction end. with the balance due and payable in cash or certified funds at pickup before the car will be released. The car will need to be picked up within two weeks of the auction end unless other arrangements are made beforehand. Also please note that vehicles in the state of Alabama were not titled before 1975 so this Porsche is being sold on a Bill Of Sale only. If you will require further documentation in order to register this car in your state we will be happy to help accommodate your needs. but any costs incurred will be the responsibility of the buyer. Thanks for looking!
