Description

This Duster was bought from the original owner in 1998. She had bought it in our home town Dodge/ Plymouth dealer. The car originally came with 9 inch brake drums on the front but I replaced the spindle, acking plates and drums to put a pair of 10 inch drums from a junked 340 Demon on it.That also will allow use of better better brakes if the buyer wants to upgrade to discs later. I also rebuilt the front end at that time with new ball joints and upper control arms. A year later I rebuilt the 22, oring it .030 and using Badger/TRW cast pistons, he steel crank was turned .010/.010 if I remember right, nd the heads were treated to hardened exhaust seats, nd new valves on the exhaust.I put a 2 bbl. intake and carb from a 1979 super six.Using all the correct kickdown linkage. Transmission is still in good shape. AC was resealed and converted to R34A. Heater core let go last year(see stain on floor mat on pass side. This model does not require the heater box to be removed for a new core to be installed. I didn't know that until I read the service manual. I did have to repair the floor pan in that area as the coolant was pretty old and corrosive.I welded in a patch, hen sealed with coating.

The following year I painted it with a new coat of white.imitating a hood stripe set up I had seen atsome point. I took the vinyl roof off (still have the trim.) I installed aluminum slots with 70s front/60s rear.Still have original hubcaps that go with it.

Youcould driveit to your home but at your own risk as the drivers front tire is worn. The Engine has 60 + lbs PRESSURE at hot idle.Spark plug tube seals(in glovebox) need replacing. Original rear end is still in it. Two new tires on rear. Front end needs alignment.. spare in trunkExhaust is 2 1/4 PIPEI had put on by Midas, nd the car sounds like it has a 318 in it thanks to the stock type cam being installed advanced 2 degrees from stock. I got 21 MPG with it. Finances forcing me to sell some of my stuff.

Paint is dried out and faded. Pics of body seam where roof joins main body is for showing areas that require body putty or seam sealer. Right quarter was replaced when original owner had the car.whole quarter was put on. pic 9 shows areas that need attention/ body putty or back welding where area joined. Car is in east central Mississippi, nd I can meet you or a transporter at a truck stop a mile from the intersection of i59 and i 20. I will take pics of any areas of concern.
