1975 US Porsche 911 Carrera Targa in incredible Silver Metallic. Silver Frost paint code 936-9-3 VIN 9115410157 – #157 out of #174 total Carreras for the US Market in 1975 Excellent condition overall for both the interior and exterior. Car has never been in an accident - has all Matching numbers. Ordered with the following options: moulded Whale-tail; Defogger Fog Lights; Air Conditioning; Blaupunkt Radio and speakers (manual antenna with key); Wheel Locks; Clock This car is for sale by the Original owner – car was purchased and delivered in California (7/29/1975 with 13 miles on its odometer). The owner moved into the much dryer climate of Nevada in the late 1990s. In the last 17 years. the car has been kept covered. safely stored in a garage and lightly driven or started at least once a week. The car drives and handles wonderfully - now is only taken out for special occasions and short outings to circulate oil and maintain battery charge. Owner has the record of ownership and many items of original documentation. Most maintenance documentation has been lost due to time and multiple moves. but some current documentation is available. Car includes the original Toolkit. owner’s manual. repair book and collapsible spare tire. The car has the original (7J-15 front and 8J-15 rear) Fuchs alloy wheels with some scratches and scraps from tire changes. The front tires are new Yokohama 205/R15 86V and rear tires are slightly worn Yokohama 225/R15 91V. All the glass is original and intact with some scrapes and pitting of the windshield. Targa removable top has a new headliner and is in good condition. OEM steering wheel was changed years ago to a MOMO racing model. Car comes with a bra and cover. The car was completely re-painted in 1986 to address cracks and de-lamination of the paint on and around the whale tail. Bertucci Custom Paint in Sacramento. Ca took 7 months of painstaking effort to beautifully repaint the car in its original silver. The Carrera script that originally ran across the lower section of the sides was removed at the time of the repaint. Today. there is no paint fading or oxidation. There are very minor rock chips on the nose consistent with the mileage (87k). There are a few paint flaws worth noting. one bubble on the driver’s door. there is a scratch on the front passenger side door (could be buffed out) and minor paint bubbles on the top of the front bumper. There are no dings on either door. Air conditioning system had been drained and disabled; now needs conversion to R-134. The interior of the car is in great condition due to owner’s tender-loving care and restoration work done over the last year. The following replaced - Sun visors. interior dome light. driver’s floor board and pedal pads. lift shocks for trunk and hood. luggage compartment light switch and carpet liner. left and right tail lens. heater defrost lever light assembly on the floor between the seats. right license plate light assembly. door light switch rubber caps. rear seat retaining straps. Porsche logo center reflector. HVAC blower fan hose. intake air filter. horn contact. high pitch horn. glove compartment contact switch - battery (new). also installed - heat/sound/insulation floor pad. and battery hold down bracket. and a pair of refurbished exhaust heat exchangers which were soda blasted and coated with VHT high temp paint. January 2015 maintenance performed by Sport Haus Motor Cars. in Reno. Nevada. Replaced the following engine and car parts: rocker shaft seals. valve cover gaskets. defective oil lines. thermostat seal. heater and fan tubes. valves adjusted. new spark plugs. parking brake shoes and brake adjusted. clutch cable and clutch adjusted. new front tires installed balanced and front end aligned. Compression Leak Test at 150 psi was accomplished with the results as follows: #1-3%. #2-4%. #3-3%. #4-5%. #5-3%. #6-5%. The interior. which is original. recently has been detailed - leather cleaned and conditioned. carpets vacuumed and interior thoroughly cleaned. There are no tears in the leather seats and the stitching is intact. there is some sign of wear on the bolsters and seat bottoms. Overall. it would be extremely hard to find such a beautiful 911 Carrera. in this color. with the factory options listed. original condition and nicely running engine.
