Description

Up for sale is my beloved 2010 GT3 with full 4.0 engine build kit. If you have any seat time at all in any gt3 variant, ou will be blown away by this car. I owned this car since 2013, nd owned it at the same time as a 2014 991 GT3 thinking I would sell the 4.0 and keep the 991 gt3. Needless to say, fter getting the 991 back from the factory engine replacement warranty campaign and realizing how much more fun the 4.0 was to drive, sold the 991 gt3 and kept the 4.0. I have seat time in every U.S. GT3 variant since the 996 gt3 (my buddy has owned several different GT3 versions and I have a bunch of seat time in them all), nd this car will utterly lay waste to any of them (including an OEM 4.0 GT3 RS, hich candidly did not feel nearly as impressive as my 4.0, specially in the torque category). The car pulls extremely hard, ut still retains the nimble and responsive throttle response and handling that gt3’s are known for (all with more torque!). I am a fanatical and obsessive sports car and Porsche enthusiast and value driving “feel” and response above almost everything else, nd I absolutely love this car. The car is incredibly nimble with many of the weight reducing mods, nd is as responsive and tight as any sports car I have ever driven, y a long shot. Professional, ature, ar enthusiast owner who has owned multiple highly modified 996/997 turbos among many other Porsches and sports cars (multiple GTR’s, 00hp ZO6, ultiple M5’s and M3’s, tc…). Only reason for sale is that I picked up this car to track, nd just never felt great tracking such a nice (and valuable) car, o I picked up a fully track prepped Euro e36 M3 to scratch that itch with no regrets or fears regarding the financial hit that would occur if I wadded it up against a wall! Also, o be candid, have car ADD and need to thin the herd a bit to accommodate my new-to-me 2013 6-speed Lamborghini lp-560 (among a few others). There are literally too many goodies on this car to list them all (it would cost over 200k to replicate this car), ut below is the important stuff.

2010 GT3, 7,500 miles, lack exterior over black interior with Alcantara everywhere (glove box, heel, hifter, arts of the dash, tc….). Front axle lift, em Bose audio with navigation. Clean car faxand no accidents.

Mods and options:

Interior/Exterior:

· Great condition OEM Carbon GT2rs bucket track seats (over $10k from dealer…highly sought after as retain oem side airbags, nlike aftermarket sparco’s, ecaro’s, tc…)

· Custom removable alcantara side bolster protectors made specifically for these seats to reduce bolster wear (my pet peeve)

· Schroth Pro2 6H harnesses (red)

· GMG roll bar

· Rennline aluminum track mats (brand new black floor mats included)

· GT3 rs front spoiler

· AMB Tran x 260 track transponder

· Custom 4.0 decal set (side, ear wings…easily removable)

Engine/performance:

· Engine: 911 Design 4.0 build including 105.4mm pistons, t3 ARP rod bolts, up engine gaskets, s oil pump, nd all supporting components and accessory items (too much to list). Build done in early 2013 at approximately 31,000 miles.

· OEM 4.0 RS clutch and flywheel kit (installed at around 31k miles, ew flywheel about 500 miles ago)

· GMG performance headers

· BBI side cup car bypass pipes with stock titanium middle section (I also have the GMG center section which will be included)

· Floating rotors and hats on all four corners

· Pagid rs 19-997 cup race brake pads with PRF performance racing brake fluid(fluid and oil just change within last 500 miles.)

· Numeric racing full ball bearing short shift kit with Numeric racing cables (awesome upgrade…not noisy like cup cables)

· Recent alignment and corner balance

· Pinned coolant lines (huge job, nd every mezger gt3 engine will need to have all lines pinned eventually)

Extras/spares:

· 18-inch track wheels and porsche cup tires

· All center lock tools (including the massive torque wrench- $650)

· OEM lexan rear window ($$$) never installed.

History:

I bought the car in late 2013 from a early 70’s retired Idaho farmer who decided to get into tracking (no joke). To be brutally honest, is issue was that he was incredibly short, ery inexperienced, nd had a hard time shifting the car. A missed shift in 2013 resulted in a brand new factory engine at approximately 30k miles. Shortly thereafter, he owner did the exact same thing, nd this time he decided to make the most of the opportunity and instead of buying a new engine, e decided to upgrade the internals with a 4.0 build (from my records, his was right around 32k-33k miles). 911 Design in California did the build, t a cost of over $65,000. At or about the same time, 11 Design did a complete tranny overhaul with many new and upgraded cup parts (new rings, liders, ear teeth, riction ring, ainshaft, inion, tc…to the tune of $11,700 for the tranny work alone). At this time the owner also had a new master cylinder installed, lave cylinder, aliper seal kit, nd upgraded a few brake lines to braided lines. Within a few months and after only one or two DE events, he owner decided it was just a bit too much car and bought a pdk GTS for track duty that would eliminate the shifting issues he had experienced in the past. After driving out to see the car I bought it on the spot and drove it home.

I did two DE style track days with the car after buying it. Last session of the day in May 2014, started hearing a strange rattle so I ended my day and towed it to my local shop, obert Boreham of Boreham motorsports (formerly Redline Motorsports). Robert is a former Porsche Factory premier tech, nd the resident gt3 and cup car expert, nd has rebuilt many cup car engines (and has experience with a 4.0 cup car build as well). After determining that a few of the flywheel bolts had backed out, e decided to remove the engine, in the coolant lines as a preventative measure, nd basically strip it down for inspection to ensure no damage to any of the internals, uch as the pistons, rank, tc., nd take the opportunity to generally look things over to ensure the prior build was done correctly with no issues. I’m anal and since I had no involvement in the prior build, just wanted an assurance that the engine build was done right and was healthy, nd trust Robert implicitly when it comes to these cars so I figured it was a good opportunity to do an extensive check-up so there were no nagging concerns or unknowns for the future. Turns, ut, e just needed to replace the flywheel and bolts (As the flywheel and bolts are one time use items) and there was no damage anywhere else (we did polish the crank though, or good measure). All new gaskets, RP bolts, luids, elts, ilters, lugs, tc…., nd we buttoned up the car with a clean bill of health.

As a result, his car is in perfect mechanical condition. No leaks, litches, heck engine lights, trange noises, iccups, queaks, r other issues. Drive with confidence. I encourage any prospective buyer to contact Robert directly to discuss the condition of the car, he quality of the build, nd the overall performance of this beast. It is truly a one of a kind experience to have so much torque and power combined with the incomparable GT3 chassis. I have tons of receipts and records for the car, ut rest assured there are no lingering issues or concerns.

Recent repairs/maintenance:

· Ac compressor replaced Summer 2015.

· New oil, ifferential, rake and coolant fluid Summer 2015

Imperfections:

There is some “track rash” in the area of the rear fenders, ut nothing that could not be addressed by a good detail guy. Some scrapes on the front spoiler that are not overly noticeable. Rock chips are very minimal ( front bumper was sprayed about 2.5 years ago). Wheels also have some imperfection and do the additional track wheels. Michelin Pilot tires are in good shape and have lots of life left.
