This film has about a 3 year life span,(Andhad absorbed three years of driving)so I removed it from the headlights,hood and fenders, hich are as new with no pitting discoloration, hip, tc.-remains on the entire bumper assembly, irrors, ear wheel flares, heet metal behind wheels for rock chips, oor edged guards, nd even a small strip by the gas cap to avoid marring the paint. The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera S ride ona wheelbase that's 4.1 inches longer than the previous 911, or an overall length gain of just 2.2 inches. While there will certainly be a plethora of 911 variants soon, o far Porsche has only announced the 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera S for this year. The 2012 911 Carrera is powered by a 350-hp 3.4-liter F-6 mounted right

For 2012 Porsche will be offering two transmissions on the 911. The fantastic Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK for short) seven-speed dual-clutch automatic returns, hile Porsche also introduces an all-new

seven-speed manual transmission. Porsche says its new seven-speed manual is the first of its kind in a passenger car.

grip and greater comfort – two attributes that often seem mutually exclusive.

Outwardly, PASM damper looks almost identical to its standard sibling, ave for the control wire connected to the head of the unit. It is this control wire that hints at the PASM damper’s secret.

A central control unit is connected to all four dampers on a PASM-equipped Porsche 911. When you push the PASM button, n army of sensors spring into action.

These sensors measure parameters such as steering input, ody roll, nd suspension bump. Alongside two accelerometers, he data is sent back to the control unit, here the PASM system

determines whether to stay in ‘Normal’, r switch to ‘Sport’ mode.

Driving our 2013 Porsche 911 in the fog the other night reminded me how well they work. Not only because of how well they light the road, r the fog in this case, ut how well they synch with

your steering motions.

They're not so directly linked that every little movement in the wheel causes them to flutter one way or the other. There's a well-timed delay that smoothes the whole process out.

It's probably one reason you forget about them, t least until you drive a car without them and wonder why corners suddenly seem so dark.

Just a few short years ago the choice between a manual transmission and an automatic transmission was one between a real driver's car and an appliance to get you from A to B.

The slowest car from 0 to 60 mph took 6.4 seconds. The next slowest took 4.2 seconds. Even more amazing, br>the rest ran under 4 seconds, ith three of them doing the deed in fewer than 3 seconds. And how can you not love a group of cars with the names Lamborghini, orsche, cLaren, MG, helby, nd Jaguar? You simply must! These are all supercars. Well, ight of 'em are supercars, nd one is the Subaru BRZ. But don't count the little Japanese featherweight out just because it doesn't have the pedigree, erformance, nd price tag of the others.
1st Place: Porsche 911 Carrera "S"
It's Unanimous -- Best 911 Yet Yup, he Porsche. Ferry's ageless squashed Beetle takes top honors in this year's BDC. Don't even bother to stop the presses. Porsche wins another comparison. This time, it's the 991 version of the Carrera S, urrently the hottest version of the sixth-generation, ear-engined, four"-seat luxury sport coupe. It's larger than ever, ith the rear engine scooched a bit more toward the middle, nd features the electrically assisted power steering system that has kept most of the Porsche-loving world up for months with the cold sweats. Why? Because of the possibility that an ounce of that precious 911 steering feel has been lost. That Porsche won it all. A much more interesting outcome to this story would have been if one of the hand-built exotics had won. After all, very 12-year-old boy in the world knows a priori that the Aventador must be the winner. Just like how every F1 junkie is positive that the McLaren is the best one here. Or, ood-story-wise, what if the little BRZ pulled off an upset? Talk about David cleaning Goliath's clock! Even the AMG would have been a more interesting verdict. But no, he car with the second-least power here, he car that's not even a special performance derivative (like the upcoming Turbo, T3, TS, 0th Anniversary Edition 911, tc.) is the 2012 Motor Trend Best Driver's Car.
That's what I'm talking about! Right there! Holy cow, t makes all these other cars seem stupid! This 911 is so good, t just blows my mind! What a great driving car!" The Porsche 911 receivedseven first-place votes from the seven judges, nd an eighth first-place vote from Randy. In fact, he911 Carrera S was the only car where we unanimously agreed on its finishing order. Nothing but first-place votes means there wasn't even discussion. Just praise.

A: Verified by Porsche and my own paint meter. Totally original, ot a scratch.99.50 NEW condition. I am full aware of the salvage, orthern, rame damaged cars being pawned on E bay with a Perfect Carfax. NO insurance company reports to ANY agency as it is a moral conflict. Cafax gets maybe 15-20 % of accident, ut Autocheck is closer to 60-65% as they are better ties by Experian which they own. Car Fax is a dealer tool to sell cars and little more. Always ck for accident damage!! The other scam to be careful of, nd particularly by a company that rhymes with broom. Love the options the 18 way seats and surprising how many PDK's do not have Sport Chrono, hich makes the shifts speeds MUCH faster.
