I acquired this Porsche a few months ago from a local private sale. The car had been sitting for about 5 years in a garage under a cover. The car has never been stored outside, nd there is absolutely no rust. The car has been repainted the original color and has 72,XXX miles. The paint is in fair condition, ith a few imperfections as shown on the car (car is not washed in any of the pictures). I believe I am the fourth owner.
When I purchased the car I went through and did the basic maintenance, nd the car fired right up after a new battery. In addition I have:
-Sent the distributor to Barry Hershon at IAE in Detroit.-Two refurbished front calipers from Pelican because the front right was sticking.-Misc maintenance.
The car is not perfect, ut I do drive it a 15 minute commute to work with no problems. I began the process of replacing gaskets on the motor to stop some oil leaks from the car sitting for so long (looks like possibly from the valve cover or head). There is still some work that needs to be done on the car I'm sure, haven't driven it far enough to burn off the residual oil on the exhaust. The car will need some TLC and a proper cleaning of the interior, xhaust gaskets, nd I'm sure a few odds and ends I haven't found yet.
I have an enclosed trailer and could potentially help with shipping at buyers expense.
