If you don't want to settle for an average example. Well, his is something you should take a long look at.
Official car of the 80's and as such it has a neat trick up it's sleeve. Just pop in a Flock of Seagulls or Peter Gabriel cassette and it becomes a time machine at a fraction the price of a Testarossa.
First thing to note in all seriousness - this car has not had it's paint buffed to death or detailed in any way for these pictures. This is the 100% honest condition this car is in. Thus, t is a little dusty/dirty in spots. A must see - the pictures do not do it justice.
A completely original, ne owner, ompletely flawless, ltra-low-mileage example. It is absolutely unheard of to find a 928 in this condition - 37 years after production! Adding to it's oddity as a pre-80 model that has not experienced anything but a pampered life - this 928 is fully optioned. The ultimate GT and as an early model the purest form of the design.
Sunroof delete, SD, ull leather option with leather dash, omplete with all tools, argo cover in suede, fitted cotton/flannel car cover, ervice records bound and laminated as well as certificate of authenticity. It does not get any better.
New Toyo sport tires. Fluids changed, erviced thoroughly throughout it's life. Timing belt only has a couple thousand miles on it.
Benefits of the early cars include the significantly lower cost of service due to the general simplicity of the original design. A huge benefit in drive time vs. shop time. Also, he engine is non-interference, eaning, f you do not do the belt on time and it lets go there isn't a $10K+ valve job in your future, ust have a new belt fitted and drive away. It is a winning combination.
One other point to add, hich I prefer but some do not, s the indestructible Mercedes transmission at the back. It is tuned for the car to deliver a performance oriented shift pattern from the factory. Add to that fact it will not wear out. Some cars are nice in a stick and some are not. The 928 was and will always be a GT.
Not pictured, ut included, wners manual in original pouch, ntouched spare, lectric air pump (new in box), pare tire well tools are complete and original VDO tire pressure gauge in pouch. Everything that came with the car when new is included. Just fitted a new (correct) battery and battery tender lead permanently installed with plug in located behind tool assortment panel. There is not corrosion or flaw even in the battery compartment.
Completely viable as a preservation class candidate. Forget the financial impracticality of restoring one - just get in, urn the key and go. Ready for inspection and, f the weather co-operates, rive anywhere in the country.
We can also assist with transporting and welcome international buyers.
There is not much more to say, he car speaks for itself. If you have any questions please call. I would also be happy to pick you or your agent up at the airport for inspection.

Details on us and the cars we offer:
We service and restore classic European cars for our local clients. We also maintain a large collection of some of the rarest and most interesting cars offered from the 20's through the 80's. We love what we do and have a passion for classic cars. We do our best to find the very best examples in existence of any given car because we are first and foremost buying these cars for ourselves and we find that restoring a car quickly eclipses the initial purchase price. Thus, verage condition cars are not even considered. We only buy what we like and we like cars that are ahead of their time, ngineering marvels, irsts, asts, oachbuilt, handbuilt or simply aesthetically pleasing. The commonality between them is high initial build quality - We have learned what is good and what is not through years of working on these cars. This is mainly the reason we do not own/sell American cars (with a few pre-war exceptions). However, ometimes we need to make decisions in regards to redundant cars in the collection, hanging tastes and cars that just are not used. Other times we find something just plain interesting to offer. These cars show up here for sale. As mechanics that specialize in European cars we find it fairly simple to keep the cars in top shape. They are meant to be driven at any given time weather permitting so each car gets the shop time it needs. This means the resulting car is as good as it can be. All of our cars are at least 25 years old and though in exceptional original condition for their age or restored at some point, hey are not new. We service and drive these cars ourselves, ut we can miss something due to the number of cars we maintain. We encourage you to ask any questions, arry out any inspections and do whatever necessary to feel comfortable with any particular car before buying. Sometimes the cars in the background of the pictures are or will be for sale as well so feel free to ask if something catches your eye. We are happy to pick you or your agent up from MSP airport evenings or weekends for vehicle inspection and we can also help arrange shipping though international shipping will require you to find an importer in your country.
