1973 Gran Torino
Body:This Gran Torino was completely restored in 2001. The car was purchased in southwest Nebraska from a private owner in 1997, nknown the number of owners previous to this point. The car originally was painted yellow then had been painted over blue. Car was brought down to metal during restoration. During the restoration process another 1976 Gran Torino was purchased and used as a parts car. All rust was professionally repaired or replaced. A hood scope spliced the hood of the 1973 from a 1972 Gran Torino hood. Black vinyl top is in good condition.The paint job on the car is excellent. The hood is painted flat and adds great contrast to the car along with the black vinyl top. The bottom 5" of the paint has a gravel guard to protect against chipping while driving. This work was completed by Floyd's Body Shop in Wilsonville, ebraska.
Engine:Drive train is original to the car: Engine is a 351 Cleveland with a 2BBL carburetor, utomatic transmission (PEF E5, 30 PNA H3), " Ford rear differential (WFB-AM5 2HC, .75 9 860A). The motor was also rebuilt as part of the restoration process.This work was done by Remington Automotive in Danbury, ebraska.
Interior:Hand Crafted cherry wood door handles and cup holder, ill find nothing else like it! Interior has vinyl seats with red cloth inserts. Vinyl and cloth inserts are in very goodcondition. See pictures for condition and sharpness of appearance. No cracks or breaks in dashboard.Car does have CD player and sound system. All speakers in car have been replaced and sound excellent.
The Torino has always been kept in a garage. This car has never been driven in rain or snow and is a great car to take out for an afternoon drive and turn heads.
