Description

This may be one of the finest examples of the classic German made Volkswagen Beetleā€™s to exist, nywhere. 1977 was the last year that the Beetle coupe was made in Germany and this nearly perfect example has just 7,300 miles on the odometer. Every knob, witch, atch, rank etc works exactly as it should. This car even smells like a new and has nearly zero signs of wear on the interior. The exterior is a very solid 9.9 on a scale of 1 to 10, ith 10 being brand new. The tires are new, ncluding the spare which I have taken out of the car for pictures. I have the original took kit, ack, wners manual and 1977 dealer brochure. I see no signs of any paint or body work on the car at all.

I am a Porsche enthusiast and have had many modern and vintage models of the 911 and 356. I am also a huge fan of the classic VW Beetle and believe that it is truly one of Ferdinand Porsches purest automotive achievements. The silver paint on this particular car somehow gives it a more of a vintage, lassic look and not so much the cute VW appearance that you might normally think of with a bug.

I recently delivered this beetle to my favorite air cooled Porsche specialist with instructions to give it whatever it needed. After a couple of weeks and a $2,500 bill, he car has gone through what I would consider a minor mechanical renovation and now runs and drives like new. It ran very good before but with a valve adjustment, major service, new exhaust (the old exhaust was not bad, ust not perfect with some surface corrosion from being nearly 40 years old). I also had the car tested for California emissions and it passed with no issue.

By simply googleing 1977 VW Beetle, found several similar examples that have sold for well over thirty thousand dollars. While I truly believe that this car will continue to appreciate in value over time, y reserve is nowhere close to being that high. I simply would like someone else to have the opportunity to enjoy this car for a while. It will also free up my garage space for another old Porsche.
