I have a self-converted Electric Porsche Boxster for sale because I am moving. I bought the black, onvertible 1999 Boxster a few years ago, nd converted it into a fully electric vehicle. The project took a summer, nd I used the car to drive around town for a few years. The car itself looks almost new, nd has been very well kept. I haven't driven it in about two years since I have been away at school, o it would need some maintenance to get it into daily driving shape.
I put about $20,000 into it in components, ot to mention the countless hours I spent working on it. It has been a fun and educational project. I imagine that someone would buy it as a hobby to have their own electric car, r that someone who wants to do their own electric car conversion would buy this for the parts. All of the components needed for an electric car are included, f which the main ones are:
- Electric motor (Warp9 DC motor)
- Lithium Ion Batteries (34 ThunderSky LiFeYPO4 200ah batteries)
- Zilla 1K controller
- Elcon 3kW battery charger
- Various other components such as a potbox for the throttle, otors for power steering and power brakes, nd a DC-DC converter to run the cars electric system
- The body of a '99 Porsche Boxster in fantastic shape
Please message me with any questions or for further information or pictures. I kept a blog while doing the car conversion, hich you can find here if interested: http://electricconversion.blogspot.com/
I am located in the Princeton,NJ area but would be happy to discuss transporting it anywhere within reason.
