1965 Porsche 356C Coupe Sunroof
Ferdinand Porsche's first road going
model bearing his own name was the 356. Introduced in 1948,
it underwent continuous development during the production
run, hich finally ended in 1965. By production's end, he
car had come a long way. Engine output more than doubled,
from 40hp at introduction to just shy of 100hp in the last
examples. The ultimate development from these years was the
356C, hich represented huge advances over earlier models,
including the adoption of disc brakes. They were available
in several configurations as both coupes and cabriolets, nd
with several motors.
The car offered here is finished in gorgeous Ruby Red with a
beautiful Black interior. This is the last year for
this highly collectible model and this example is one of
less than 1101 356's produced in 1965. The sunroof
model makes this a very desirable car to own, lthough there
are no true numbers to how many sunroofs were made, t is
estimated by factory workers that in 1965 they made fewer
than 5%, he cardax was not a perfect process in 1965 as
Porsche was tooling up for the soon to be released 911, o
often times they made due with parts they had at the
factory. This is a non-molested model with original
floor pans, atching numbers on motor, nd
transmission.We have the COA from
Porsche. The COA does not show the sunroof option. This was a second owner car from 1970 until
2016 when it was acquired from the previous owners
daughter.

It is our understanding that the car was repainted back in the 70s and the interior has been redone as well more recently.
