1971 Porsche 911-T - RS Tribute

This is a very beautiful RS Tribute car, produced by the shop of the great Dick Barbour. It is based on a very nice, straight and rust-free 1971 Porsche 911-T. Obviously no expense spared to make it as nice as this!

Please note that I am selling this for a friend but will have answers to your question with only a slight delay. The car is in my shop, so if you want details looked at and described or photographed, I am more than happy to help seriously interested parties.

Please note that the car is also advertised for sale in my local area, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Once the reserve price has been met, I will not sell the car locally any longer and will let the auction run its course.

The car is located in the Toronto, Canada area but importation into the United States is relatively simple, as would be the transfer to Europe. However, it is the Buyer's responsibility to deal with all importation issues and matters of duties and taxes payable, as well as to organize pick-up and transportation, although I will be happy to help where I can.

Please do not ask for a Buy-It-Now price; this auction will run its course, unless a local buyer purchases the car before the reserve is met. Terms of payment are: Immediately after close of auction $1,000.00 is payable via Paypal. The balance is payable no later than five business days after close of auction, via bank wire transfer.

This beauty features the following: Powerful 2.7 liter engine with Weber carburetors with 1971 "911" transmission. Though the exact details are not known, the cam shafts appear to be somewhere between a 'T' and an 'S' cam. The car is very driveable at all RPMs. It fires up easily every time. The engine has SSI heat exchangers and a new Dansk muffler. The powertrain appears to be very recently built and is clean and dry - there are no leaks whatsoever.

Wheels and tires are custom-finished Fuchs 7 and 8 by 15 inch wheels, shod with Toyo R888 tires. The car rests on Bilstein shocks and factory front and rear sway bars. The underside and all suspension components are beautifully detailed.

The interior finish reflects the true spirit of the lightweight RS, with RS-style carpeting, door panels with leather pull strap and plastic pull handle, rounded out with R-type bucket seats and a Momo Prototipo steering wheel.

The beautiful Gemini Blue exterior paint work is complemented by H-4 headlights, Pallas-style hood lamps, and through-grill fog lights for a great appearance.

This Porsche is completely without rust or accident damage since its complete restoration by the Dick Barbour shop.
