I'm looking to sell my 911 V8 conversion, which I've owned and enjoyed driving for 15 years. The original designer and builder of these Porsche V8 cars was Rod Simpson and his legacy race car recently sold on eBay. See http://bringatrailer.com/2015/12/10/the-first-v8-911-rod-simpson-raced-1966-porsche-912/ I even bought many of the parts I've used inmy carfrom Rod Simpson. (e.g. - the specially machined Engine to Porsche transaxle adapter plate, motor mounting plate which uses stock 911 motor mounts, cooling system pump, radiator and fans, while many other partsare genuine Porsche parts like the heavy duty torsion barsor original equipment on the 911.) I've addedseveral new pics here to address questions I've been getting from interested buyers. Listed below aremany ofthe parts that are on this car andI'm sure I forgot a few. The motor runs great and the car is straight. The car has recovered front seats, European gauges and sunroof. You couldn't buy these parts for the reserve price. The car is street legal in Colorado, recently passed Colorado Emissions Test on June 27, 2016 and is well below required test limits for CO and HC. The only downside to the car is the paint is getting tired and needs a refresh. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Many people are asking, so the Extra Set of Fiberglass 930 Short tail rear fenders I have in storage are sold by GT Racing as 935 rear quarter panels #196 for over $1,000. They have never been installed and were for some further body modifications that I had planned to do, but never started. By the way, the tires currently on the car are 295/50R15 in back (massive) and 215/60R15 in front and all tires mounted on BBS wheels have clearance under the existing fenders. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time as vehicle is for sale locally. |
