For sale is a very nice original, well documented, three owner, 100% rust free 1976 Porsche 911S Targar with 125,000 miles. This car was sold new at Camelback Porsche in Phoenix AZ on 09/03/1976. Second owner bought the car on 02/24/1983 with 21,147 miles and was from Tempe AZ. The third owner is from Vail Co. and bought the car on 01/03 1985 with 37,000 miles. The original engine is in the car and was rebuilt 05/11/1990 at 90,000 miles. The engine was completely rebuilt with new pistons and cylinders,Carrera tensioners and 3.0 911SC exhaust, all original air pump is still hooked up and working. The intake also has a pop off valve. Engine runs strong with no noises. The 915 trans shift very well up and down in all gears and the clutch was replaced during engine rebuild. The front bonnet is in good order with spare tire, jack, air pump, complete tool kit and plastic gloves. The paint appears to be all original except for the right rear fender. Under the fender there are no dents that indicate damage. The paint being 40 years old is not show condition but looks good. has rock chips and blemishes as expected. The body is rust free with some nicks, door dings, some damage to the front lower valance and two dings on the left front fender ( see photo ). Once again this is a 40 year old car.Windshield has some sand blasting and one dime size rock chip.Interior appears to be all original. Owner says the drivers seat was in the car when he bought it. We think it is a RARE option M-410 ( Roadster seat for driver for improved lateral support when speeding through curves, and for non-fatiguing long-distance driving, due to the orthopedic seat shape ). ( Porsche 911, A Source Book, page 40 )Passenger seat has two areas splitting along seam ( see photos ). Rear seats are in very good condition with carpet on the back side fading. All carpet is original and in good condition. Front dash has one small crack at passenger vent ( there is also a spot of glue there from something that was once stuck on the dash and the rest is very good. Rear dash is very good condition.Targa top is in perfect condition with no wind noise and needs nothing ( comes with two Targa top hand locking keys ) Weather stripping on the car is all very good condition too.Original owners manual is in the glove box.Clock does not workOdometer just quit working when we reset the trip meter. neither work now.The car has AC that looks to be a factory option ( there is not a fresh air vent in the dash ). The belt is not connected. The AC vents under the dash are missing and there is also a piece missing on the far left of the drivers side that does not interfere with the function. Fan works fine.Wheels are in good original condition with no curb rash or alterations.Shocks are orange Koni ( another option ).Tires are good but should be replaced. Thought that was a personal thing so we left the tires alone.Electric side mirror works but has a replacement glass, could use new speakers, one cover is missing.Front and rear hood supports are new.Oil was just changed with Valvoline Racing 20 / 50 high zinc formula.Brake pads and rotors are good. Fluid has just been flushed with DOT 4.Car has original black and red keys with additional spares. All locks and ignition is original and in good working order. Please ask questions we do not want to miss represent this car. We have many photos we can send if requested.Thank you and good luck bidding. On Aug-03-16 at 15:04:10 PDT, seller added the following information:
Front seats had sheep skin seat cover on them for most of the cars life. We threw them away.
