1970 Porsche 911T
46,602 miles
VIN# 91101 20998
Up for auction out of long term ownership is this iconic rear engine, air cooled Porsche 911T.
This vehicle was purchased by its current owner from New Jersey in 1999 as the results of an exhaustive search to find the best 911T in red with a black interior. Following a pre-purchase inspection of the vehicle by Foreign Intrigue of Berwick, Maine the current owner took possession and has kept this vehicle in his heated and climate controlled garage at all times over the past 17 years. This vehicle was absolutely only driven on fair weather special occasions over the past 17 years. This car is the stereotypical "garage queen".
The owner (resident of Maine) from 1995 through 1999 also kept maintenance records that goes with the vehicle. Although the records from the previous long term owner are no longer present with the vehicle the following restoration work was done prior to 1995.
Transmission converted from a 4 speed to a 5 speed 901 transmission.
911S front spoiler
Recaro Sport seats
New bumperettes
Highly detailed engine bay
Also the vehicle was professionally refinished from Signal Orange (Code 1414) to a shade of red that appears to be Signal Red. The refinish was done to a very high standard and its apparent that the vehicle was completely disassembled during the refinishing process.
The vehicle currently runs and drives exceptionally well and was recently sorted through by a Porsche Marque expert with over 30 years of experience in Long Branch, NJ at Lee’s Garage Restoration (6/06/2016).
Driving is believing as the sound of the 2.2-liter Weber charged motor is simply intoxicating!
Cosmetically the exterior paint has a deep show quality luster with some stone chips which is to be expected in the front air dam. Chrome and bright-work is excellent overall with some light pitting in the chrome trim under the headlamps.
The vehicles interior shows remarkably well and the Recaro seats are very firm and supportive. The carpeting is free of any rips or tears and the dash is in very good condition with a few very minor cracks on the passenger side (see photos). The vehicle does not come with the original OEM stereo headunit, but has been fitted with a higher end Alpine AM/FM CD stereo.
The engine bay was professionally refinished to a very high standard before 1995, and due to the vehicle’s limited usage and climate controlled storage it still shows like a show quality car!!!
Seeing is believing !!!
The vehicle is presently located in Central NJ 07753.
Perspective buyers are encouraged to have a pre-purchase inspection at our facility.
The car is well represented with over 100 photos below.
Bid with confidence and to win!!!
