This car is in excellent mechanical condition and everything works (including AC). The clutch is in great shape and the car handles and stops like a 911 should. I recently took this car on a 250 mile trip with zero issues. Whether you plan to daily drive, track or weekend cruise, this car will not disappoint.
It is a GREAT looking car. It looks like a six figure exotic. It is over 15 years old, and does have a few scratches and minor imperfections, worst being a scratch on the drivers headlight. The interior is in good shape which you can see from the pictures. Like all 10+ year old Porsches, the Carbon Fiber pieces have cracks in the clear coat.
This car has a Regular Iowa title with "Prior Salvage" designation. I bought this car around 3 years ago and had it repaired by a reputable local body shop that works on a lot of Porsches and other European cars. It had been damaged in the right rear quarter panel behind the door. The right rear quarter, rear bumper, and tail lights were replaced at that time. They did excellent work, as you can see in the pictures.
Vehicle has NOT had the IMS Bearing replaced. My car was built 05/98 and has the stronger DUAL ROW IMS BEARINGS. The settlement was for cars produced 5/4/01 - 2/21/05; using the inferior single row bearing, that had a failure rate of 4-10%. All other IMS bearings, including mine, have a failure rate of LESS THAN 1%.
Similar cars have sold within the last month for 23,000 and 25,500 on eBay with comparable (more) miles. This is currently a 4th car (3 Porsches 1 BMW), which is why I have decided to let it go. Serious buyers only!
Feel free to ask any questions.
Thanks!
