Description

Originally Silver Metallic with factory optioned Pepita (Houndstooth) seats. when this 1970 Porsche 911S rolled out of the factory. it was a cool car. The good news is the interior has survived beautifully. with things like original seats and radio still intact and in great shape. The bad news is it was stored so poorly after a cheap repaint that the exterior began to suffer. This 911S is a matching numbers example. Kardex verified. with chassis number 9110310320 and original engine 6301199 still with the car. Original Deep 6 Fuchs are still with the car. The car was never the victim of a carb conversion so the 911S MFI components are still in place. While a previous owner made a poor choice in paint schemes -- red with silver painted bumpers -- we should thank him for leaving the interior completely stock. including the original houndstooth seats. also contained in the Kardex information. Kardex Data: Color Silver Metallic/80 with Black Top/10 Inside Black Leatherette w/ Houndstooth Inlays/13 Extras C02 M 568 The interior of this car presents like a time capsule. The original houndstooth seats are in excellent condition with no holes or tears. The dash has survived amazingly. The factory leather steering wheel has beautiful patina with no splits. Original radio. door pockets. rear parcel shelf. sun visors. Even the carpets have survived nicely. The targa top is not shredded on the outside. but will need a new headliner as it has failed. The exterior of this car is not great. At some point it was repainted. and poorly. So much so that there are numerous bubbles in the paint all over the car. in addition to some rust holes. Both doors have some denting. as well. The worst rust is in the passenger side door sill where it's clear there was moisture throughout the car's time in storage. Please see pics. The driver's sill fared better. Underneath. most of the rust is in the rocker area. with a number of the usual rust locations surviving remarkably well. A good restoration shop will likely be able to retain the original floors. adding lots to the cars originality after restoration. Please see the photos here and on the Photobucket gallery for examples of the underside. The engine turns over by hand but we have made no attempts to start it. It appears the car was last on the road in 1984. While this car needs a good amount of metal work. money can't buy the level of originality you'll get with this car's interior. Once restored. the new owner will have a beautiful silver 911S with an all-original interior including the very rare optioned Pepita seats. It will stand out in any row of like Porsches. This car has a clear title and is ready for export.
