1978 Porsche 911 SC Coupe 2-Door 3.0L

This is a great running original car that starts immediately every time does not smoke or leak oil excessively. The clutch and transmission shift very smooth into all gears. The steering and brakes are working perfectly. All systems on this car work except the windshield water squirters and the highbeam headlights (turn signal stalk forward position) you can still flash the highbeams by pulling the stalk back. Besides the 2 items mentioned all other systems are functioning including all courtesy lighting in the cabin and elsewhere. From the dry desert region of the usa this car has had no rust ever. The car has been repainted a brighter yellow than the original color. The bright yellow paint looks great from 10 feet. No dents or large dings. The paint on both front fenders is cracked or crazed but looks great on all other parts of car. The cracking/crazing of the fenders is not noticable from 10 feet and on a whole the car looks great. There is a gouge from a tool shown in photos near drivers side view mirror. This incident occurred when the windshield was replaced. Also in a photograph gap in windshield gasket filled with weatherstrip material. Fuchs wheels heavy patina but no curb marks. Chrome is near perfect. A great looking car!Interior is original and shows wear. Original Blaupunkt installed light comes on but sound comes out of a modern unit in glove box with mp3. Seats very deep sport seats with velour insert Ideal for tall person. Headliner worn and drooping on sunroof. All gauges work perfectly including clock. Lower dash vent pieces rough. Dash cracked. See photos. Still very acceptable driver condition. Recent receipts include Brand new tires. Valve Adjust. Brake and fuel system flush. Spark plugs. Leak down test completed dec 2014 show 4% to 6% on all cylinders. The car has a lot of power and runs great. I removed ac compressor and condenser as well as smog pump these parts will be included. Car still has original catalysed exhaust system should pass emissions. Has good spare tire and tools but no Jack. Reserve price $24000. An awesome entry level porsche 911.
