The 911 made its debut in the United States for model year 1965 and was an instant success offering robust German engineering in a superbly balanced sports car. By the early 1980’s Porsche AG was faced with a decision of whether or not to keep the 911 program going or replace it all together. A decision was made and the 911 program continued. making way for the redesigned 3. 2 model. For model year 1984 Porsche introduced a much improved 911 and brought back the Carrera name. It was to be the very last iteration of the original 911 series. and offered more power. improved electronics. brakes. suspension and handling. For 1987 the G50 transmission was introduced for the 911 and improved shifting dramatically. Many Porsche enthusiast say the 3. 2 is the best iteration of the 911 and the best value. European Motor Studio is proud to offer this exceptional 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa finished in Black with Tan leather. This 911 left the Stuttgart production line in April of 1987 and was invoiced to Porsche North America. The car was sent to Val Ward Imports INC in Fort Meyers FL and sold to its first owner on June 22. 1987. The car was sold to its second owner in the Summer of 1996 and has remained in the care of the second owner ever since. This exceptional 911 has been pampered and properly maintained its entire life and only serviced at the Porsche dealership in FL or at a Porsche specialist shop since new. This car has traveled a mere 69. 15 miles from new and is completely documented by service history and the Carfax. The Black paint on this 911 is stunning. It appears to be completely original and retains a deep luster and gloss. There are a couple tiny stone chips in the front nose and a couple touch up areas on the body of the car which was done with a Porsche touch up pen using the correct color code. The body is straight and dent and ding free and is 100% rust and corrosion free. All of the rubber and plastic trim are all intact and in excellent condition. The interior appears to be all completely original and still in excellent condition. The leather is still nice and soft and shows very little wear. There are no cracks or tears of any kind in the leather or the headliner. The dash. center console and door panels are all in beautiful condition and free from any damage or wear. The power mirror switch itself is broken but does still operate the power mirrors without any problems. Brand new rubber seals for the windows and doors have just been replaced and fit perfectly. The Targa top is in excellent condition and shows little wear. It still fits well and does not have the typical wear or shrinkage on the vinyl. Everything on the car operates as designed. including all of the electrical. all of the interior and exterior lights. the power seats. windows. mirrors and locks and wipers and even the glove box light. hand brake and seat belt light all work. The AC blows on all of the fan speeds cold and the heater is even blowing warm. The gauges all appear to be reading correctly and all of the dash lights are working as they should. This 911 starts right up with ease and idles smoothly. The engine does not smoke and pulls strong through the whole RPM range. The transmission shifts through all of the gears with ease and free from any grinding or slipping. The suspension and steering feel very tight and precise free from any rattles or vibrations. The brakes feel excellent. there is no grinding or fade of any kind. All of the original Porsche keys are present with this car including the original Porsche wheel lock key. The original Porsche vinyl pouch stores the original owners manual and service and warranty book which is filled with service stampings from the dealer. All of the original tools in their tool roll are present. the original jack and spare and the original Porsche air pump are all there with the car. All of the original body VIN stickers are present on the car and a clean and clear Carfax comes with. The car does show any signs of damage or prior repairs anywhere. This is an exceptionally clean and original 911 offered for sale with just 2 owners from new.
