1993 DODGE CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL 4X4This maybe the lowest mileage 1st generation Cummins Turbo Diesel 4x4 LE truck in the country. It has just 32. 00 original miles. For over ten years I have been leaving notes and knocking on the owners door. never to get a response. Finally one day I saw the old man walking to his mailbox. “Boots” as he was known. was a 91 year old independent living retired military man who bought the truck new in 93. He was a cool dude. Still. he would NOT sell the truck. A few years pasted until two weeks ago he died and I was finally able to buy it. The truck is completely original. nothing done to modify or tweak the motor. Its bone stock. Its a 1993 Dodge LE Four Wheel Drive Extended cab Cummins Turbo Diesel. Again. just 32k original miles. It starts instantly and purrs. I drove the truck on a two hour trip recently with no troubles. Boots did keep the truck maintained. It drives tight and even the Air Conditioning blows ice cold. All the gauges work well and the automatic transmission shifts smooth. The truck is one owner and was bought here outside San Antonio Texas new. The body still sports the original paint and the body is in very nice and solid condition. The truck needs a new paint job and the cab top has surface rust. but no holes. The interior is very nice. The original bucket seats look great. no cracks in the dash. Door panels are nice and the power windows. power mirrors. etc work well. It will need a headliner. the Texas heat killed the glue. The tires look new. but are likely a few years old. The cruise control seems not to be working. The tailgate I’ve had down. but currently is stuck. I believe the gate releases need lube.
