1997 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Shortbed-60K Original Miles-5.7 V8

I am the 2nd owner and have owned this truck for the last 10 years. It has been garage kept and is an original Texas Truck. I purchased the truck from the original owner's estate after he passed away in 2005. At that time the truck had 24. 00 original miles. I have only put 36. 00 miles on the truck in the last 10 years because I have a company vehicle and have used the truck for pleasure only. MaintenanceI have all maintenance records which documents the low mileage. Oil has been changed every 3000 miles and made repairs on items that needed to be addressed. OptionsThe truck includes original 2 page window sticker which documents the original sticker price of $24. 01. 00 and the following: Victory Red Exterior. Gray cloth interior. Silverado package. Vortec 5. 7 V8. Automatic overdrive transmission. Bucket seats with floor and overhead console. Six way power driver's seat. AM/FM cassette/CD stereo. 342 rear axle ratio. It also has chrome SS wheels and receiver hitch. Exterior ConditionThe truck has the original paint and has never been in any type of accident or hail storm. The left front fender has clear coat peeling along the top edge (see photo). The truck bed has always had a bed mat to cover the bed floor since it was new. I have not used the bed to haul items unless the bedsides were covered with blankets to protect the paint. The bed and tailgate only have a few minor scratches (see photos. unreal condition!). The truck had bed rails when I purchased it. I removed the bed rails and plugged the 4 holes (2 per side) with black plastic plugs. looks fine. The truck only has 2 door dings; one on the driver's door and one on the driver's extended cab panel. no paint chips. Both door dings could be removed with paintless dent repair and never be noticeable. Both quarter windows and back glass have aftermarket window tint. which is beginning to lift up in several areas. There are minor rock chips on the front edge of the hood which have been touched up over the years. The windshield is free of any cracks. Interior ConditionAll interior is in very good original condition and has never been smoked in. Carpet and seat do not have any stains and show very little wear. I have kept the carpet and seats covered with towels for protection. Mechanical ConditionTires were replaced 2500 miles ago with Cooper 255/70R15 turned blackwall. Looks very good with chrome SS wheels. I also had a wheel alignment completed when the tires were replaced. I installed a flow master cat back exhaust when I purchased the truck. Great sound but not too loud. The truck runs and drives great with no leaks. A/C blows cold and heat blows hot. I would not be afraid to drive the truck anywhere at a moment's notice. The original spare has never been on the the ground (see photo). I have lived in Colorado for the last 18 months. and the truck has NOT been driven in any snow or ice. It has been GARAGE KEPT for the majority of its life. My wife calls it "The Shrine" since I would not drive it if there was any chance of adverse weather. Bottomline. the miles are original. condition is great for a 1997 model and I would drive the truck anywhere. You will have a hard time finding a cleaner truck in this year model with low miles.
