Description

2006 Saab 9-5 2.3t Sedan 4-Door 2.3L Silver Automatic 185K
Beautiful silver exterior with very clean black interior; 4 cylinder Turbo; Automatic; Runs good; 17" Saab Aero Alloy wheels with New Falken fk452 235/45zr17 94Y tires; Fully loaded; Heated front & rear seats; Superb sound system with radio controls on steering wheel; multi cd sound system
Cons:
Check engine light is on. Car runs a little rough and tranny sometimes shifts a bit rough. It's been like this for at least a year with no worsening of the situation. Made 2 NYC-Boston trips with it before I parked it over the summer.
Shabby repair on passenger side of the hood - shown in pic. Rest of body is beautiful; driver side mirror cover and glass broken
Great car at a bargain for someone who has the space and can put in the work.

Trouble codes that came up last time I checked a few months ago:
-P0300 (random misfire) Swapped in a couple of known good DIC's and problem was not resolved.
-P1181 (lean air fuel mixture)
-P1231 (Throttle Position Sensor TPS 1 and 2 sum out of range)
No coolant leak but it did have a oil leak. Front oil seal was replaced which fixed the big leak but that did not completely stop it. I just regularly checked and topped it off every couple of weeks. I had anticipated pulling the motor to renew the chain and guides as well as all seals and gaskets as well as the transmission valve body to address shifting issues which happen every once in a while but plans changed. The car has been parked for a few months now and I don't see using it anytime soon.
AC works but has a leak. It needs an o-ring at the lower passenger side hose going to the condensor. All of the dash gauges are working. The cupholder is missing.
Keyless entry works. 1 keyfob.
I have 1 more key for it which is cut but it doesn't have the electronic part.
Car is as you see it. It does need work and is priced accordingly. I wouldn't hesitate driving it to Boston tomorrow if I needed to.
