Rare Special Edition, Platana Grey with manual transmission

Together with the "Springtime in Sweden" convertibles and the 1990 SPG, his is one of the most collectible of the SAAB 900 models. The SE cars were available only for model year 1991 with approximately 300 sold in Monte Carlo Yellow and 362 in this color, latana Grey.
One sign of the increasing collectibility of this car is the recent sale of a low mile example of the 1991 Platana Grey SE on the Bringatrailer website for over $20,000.
All parts of this car work. You will not find commonly broken Classic 900 items such as the cruise control, ower antenna, ower seat backrest cables, nd floppy turn signal switch. Included is an owner's manual set, he original tool kit, ack and spare tire, ew floor mats, nd the hard covers for the convertible top. Missing is the vinyl carrying bag for the hard covers. This is a non-smoker's car.
There isno peeling clear coat finish on this car as it was repainted prior to my ownership, ith some blemishes in the finish; the largest is shown in the last photo. Also, he dashboard has the cracks that are common on these cars and is covered with a dash mat. There are two tears in the carpeting on the driver's side footwell that are covered by the floor mat. There is evidence of previous minor collision damage on the passenger rear fender lip and the floor boards on the passenger side have been welded, vidence that the top was probably leaking and filling those areas with water at some point. The top is newer.
The car will require tires because the tread is approaching the wear indicators. Also, ecause the car spends so much time in storage the exhaust will likely require replacement in a few months. The original European-made cat back exhaust system sells for only $162 at eEuro.
I have owned this car for four years. Itis part of a collection that includes a number of other Saab 900 models. It is garaged, aintained and driven carefully, nd stored winters. Title is clear and in my name. Car is available for inspection in Madison, isconsin and Milwaukee, isconsin.
