2002 Saab 9-5 Aero

I have owned this Saab for over 10 years...bought it with about 50,000 miles and it was my daily driver and touring vehicle....loved it for its comfort, power, and all-weather handling and utility. Just a great car...too bad they don't make them any more. I serviced it regularly at various Saab specialists depending on where I lived. It was in great shape until the engine started knocking one day on a trip. Long and short....we replaced the engine with a used one with only ( supposedly) 50,000 miles on it and bought a 3 year warrenty. Just a year later, (one year ago now) this engine developed problems and the company from which we had bought the engine refused to back the warranty because we apparently neglected to fill out info when engine was installed.
Any way, we bought a different vehicle and the Saab has been sitting at a friend's house near where it broke down... the engine problem fix was estimated to cost around $3-4000...we determined not to spend that money.So the car is not really driveable now due to the engine issue.But it is still in very good shape otherwise...leather interior is almost excellent, all the controls worked...some pixels in control panel displays were out.Transmission had been flushed and was working fine...new high performance shocks had been put on a few years back. there are two sets of tires, snow and summer performance on the stock very nice Saab Aero wheels.The body has a vew dings and the openings you see in front bumper is where the windshield washers used to be.... but ...it is 14 years old!
This could be a nice performance sedan if the engine issue were taken care of either through a rebuilt or replaced engine.
This Saab would need to be towed or shipped. There is no warranty of any kind on this vehicle. Sale will be final.
The pictures are a bit limited because of the location.This will be a no reserve sale ....for somebody who is willing to deal with the needed engine work this could be a really good deal.
