1999 Saab 9-3 - Runs good but transmission problem

Thanks for looking. Listing this 1999 Saab 9-3 for a friend. The Saab is in pretty good shape but needs a little TLC. I have driven this vehicle more than 30 miles as it currently sits. The engine starts and runs very smooth with no smoke or leaks. The steering is responsive. The transmission shifts smooth. BUT see issue below. The exterior is in very good condition with a few small scratches here and there but no dents. The interior is also in very good condition with the exception of the drivers seat has a tear in it and the drivers seat side panel is a little loose. The car does need a good cleaning. As for the problems:1. The transmission has a odd problem. When starting with the car in drive it will only shift up to second gear. BUT if you start with the winter button depressed it will start in second gear (like it is supposed to) and then only shift up to third. It was looked at by a mechanic and he said he thought it needed a transmission control module which is a easy / inexpensive fix (it is just a little metal box under the dash). BUT it will have to be programmed after installation and he did not have the capability to program it. I was able to drive this car about 15 miles to my friends mechanic and back about a week later. I could go 55 mph with no problem with the winter button depressed. 2. The drivers window is off the track. 3. The car needs a really good cleaning. It has been sitting for close to a year. It gets started and driven around the block about twice a month. 4. Spare tire is on the left rear of the vehicle in the pictures because the regular tire had a slow leak. Regular tire will be back on before auction ends. Please look at the pictures carefully or come look at it in person before bidding.
