1987 Shelby CSX #518 out of 750 made this year signed by Carroll Shelby in the glove box. These were only made 3 years and each one was different from the last in some form or another. 1987, 988, nd 1989. 750 first year, 001 for thrifty the second year, nd 500 the third. so only 2,251 were made in total.
I have a certificate from shelby showing this is indeed #518 and a bunch of paperwork and extras that go along with the car.
This shelby is in overall nice shape in contrast to what you usually see these as. Paint is nice, ot perfect but not faded out or any sort of extensive damage just normal rock spots and what not. The engine sounds good, ith very low miles. Shifts nicely and does not slip. The interior is nice, ash has no cracks. Original shelby steering wheel, eats are in amazing shape. A pillars have slight sun damage but nothing drastic, believe this was originally a southern car so it's to be expected. Original radio, ftermarket speakers. The front speakers don't seem to work but It could be a fluke like loose wires or they could just not be good.
I have noticed the CALIPER is sticking on the back left wheel.
Exterior as I said is nice, few rock chips and a very small scratch on the bottom of the drivers side door.
Engine bay is very nice, ir conditioning was re-done a while back. I believe the original air box hose from the intercooler to the box was replaced at some point and time. Has the original Shelby valve cover and cap (Worth 300+ by itself). We recently did a tune up on it which consisted of plugs and wires + cap and rotor.
Tires are fairly new, long with normal maintenance stuff. Needs aligned, e just haven't gotten around to it this summer.
The hydraulics for the trunk are shot like most of them are.
If you have any questions just let me know, 've tried to think of everything I could. There will be MORE pictures to come soon.
PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE ANYTHING IS DONE.... Thank you
Please serious interest only, 'm going to answer the most common question I get..
How long have you had it?: 3 months (Maybe longer depending on when you see this)Why 3 months, hy are you selling?: Selling because I want to invest in a professional camera and lenses. The car was more of an impulse buy, have two cars and honestly have no need for two vehicles. This in no way effects theintegrityof the vehicle. Previous owner owned it for several years.
