Description

2008 Shelby GT Barrett Jackson Limited Edition Mustang ConvertibleCSM # - 08SGT2247NO RESERVE - You Bid - You own a beautiful car and piece of history!Converted at Shelby American to a factory authorized and documented GT/SC supercharged model Has the Kenne Bell 515hp-530hp kit w/upgraded throttle body (dyno'd at 450 rwhp)This Shelby has a very detailed. interesting story and documented history. It has been driven as recommended by the old guy Shelby! (but lovingly cared for)It has been over the BJ auction block in 2013 and sold for $100. 00 dollars to Richard Hendrick of NASCAR fame. This SGT/SC has many tasteful upgrades and is a joy to drive. I bought it from Hendrick Cars in North Carolina and drove it back to Texas with the top down and it was an unforgettable trip! This Shelby GT is an extremely rare convertible. There were only 39 Barrett-Jackson Shelby GT Convertibles made - EVER. Out of those 39 convertibles. only 11 were built as 5 speed Automatics. Out of those 11 only 1 Convertible Automatic has been documented to exist as a true GT/SC and this is that very car. As a matter of fact over the last 4 years researching. I have only seen proof that five (5) Convertible Barrett-Jackson Shelby GT/SC's exist. I have seen those cars either in person or in speaking to the owners myself. Four (4) convertible cars are GT/SC BJ models with the 5-speed manual transmission. One (1) convertible car is a GT/SC BJ model with the 5-speed automatic (my car). The Barrett-Jackson models in 2008 were the lowest production of the SGT and late model Shelby Mustangs. They are more rare than 2008-2009 KR's. The GT-H models in 2006-2007 were produced at 500 per year. The SGT Nor Cal model in 2007 had a run of just over 200 (believe 202)The GT-C (grabber orange) model in 2008 had a run of 215-219. The BJ models only had 100 cars made. This is your chance to own one of the most collectible late model Shelby Mustangs that have proven to hold their value. In the last 4-6 months the SGT BJ convertibles have sold from 55. 00 up to 77. 00 to collectors and enthusiasts at the Barrett-Jackson Vegas and Scottsdale auction. You can take a look at the lot numbers on the BJ site and see for yourself. Don't pass this opportunity up. The only reason my car was not at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Jan 10-18th is because I am an average guy who makes payments on the car. I have a loan that I pay monthly like most folks do. I called BJ Auctions and they do not allow cars to go over the block that have an active loan. So I was really bummed out because I wanted the Barrett-Jackson Auction experience and to pass this fine car on to the next caretaker of this piece of modern Shelby history. Thanks for looking and if you have any questions message me through eBay first and then we can get on a phone call. =========================================== More info: I have the original photo that came with the car that has all the signatures in its original frame. Also included is window stickers. owner’s manuals. receipts. Shelby registry sheet. GT/SC upgrade items for Kenne Bell manuals. SCT Tuner. many extra miscellaneous flyers and papers. Car has full Steeda Suspension that rides more comfortably than the FRPP package and is about 1/4 inch lower in rear which improves the looks in my opinion. Has the Baer brake calipers up front and slotted / drilled rotors on all four corners. Has Billet control arms. poly bushings. the 3. 55 gears and the FRPP x-pipe and exhaust. Shelby Wheels (CS69 model) and near new Nitto 555 tires. 20x9 - 255/40/20 20x10 - 285/35/20 Interior has special inserts only available from Barrett-Jackson. They have to be approved and purchased at about 125. 00 per patch to my knowledge. From talking to members on Team Shelby and researching. I believe only 3 BJ cars have these patches. Some cars have the 2-tone red and black interior. but they only have the headrests with the Shelby signature and arm rest with the SGT/SC logo. Just another nice rare item to add to the list. The paint is in real good shape. Black is the hardest to take care of and the car has 16K miles so there are a few small imperfections. I have owned it about 1. 5 years and it has always been garaged and hand washed. I use the micro fiber towels from Griot's Garage. For the most part. the car is still as I bought it from Hendrick Cars. On my drive home from NC to TX. one wheel did get a small chip on the edge. This can be fixed or the wheel can be replaced. The only thing I never fixed was the radio. The previous owner put in an iPod connector. The radio works. all speakers work. but that iPod connector does not. I was planning on installing Navigation anyway. so didn't much bother me. Car is financed. so any pay off will need to all go through bank for verification and finalization. Thanks again. RC
