1981 Subaru DL Base Wagon 4-Door 1.8L

Up for sale is my 1981 Subaru DL Wagon. It has the 1. 8L. 4-speed. on-the-go 4WD. I picked this car up from Arizona. and it originally came from California. I have some of the original paperwork and owners manual. which keeps a cool history to the vehicle. It is rust free for the most part (surface spots from paint chips & a few dings as well as the back of the passenger seat from the previous owner leaving it in his garage). which is hard to find with these classic Subarus. The rear seat has a couple of cracks. The carpet is in decent condition. shows most of the wear in the front seats. The dash does have cracks from the Arizona sun. most of these Subies do. The dash lights and gauges all work. even shows which doors are open! This particular DL has a rare round headlight grill. versus the standard square headlights. which makes it somewhat unique in the community. The front right marker is broken and the bumper cover is dented. but the light works. It also has Jackman wheels. which aren't very common!The heater blows warm air intermittently. which leads me to believe the system needs to be burped of air bubbles (The heater core is brand new and the coolant system was recently flushed and filled with new coolant). The front CV axles need to be replaced (around $65 per side). I just haven't gotten around to it. She has her quirks and kinks like every older car. but very fun to drive around in! If you're looking for a solid. reliable retro Subaru. this is it!I have invested way more money into this little Subie. so like most of us who take serious interest in them. we will never make our money back. Extras:- New 42" LED Light Bar- New Yakima Roof Mounts & Bars with locks to prevent theft. - New Kuat Vagabond Roof Rack w/ dual bike mounts. Sold AS IS.
