Description

Hello everyone. I bought this car here on eBay 6yrs ago and up until last month it worked flawlessly for me. The car was in an accident and was reconstructed, I purchased it and flew to Charlotte, NC to get it. The gentleman picked me up at the airport in the car and I droveit to the Outer Banks for a long weekend and then drove it home. It never cost me a dime other that normal wear and tear items. Gas, tires, headlights, wipers ect.Last month we were going to Ocean City, NJ when theall the dash lights came on and the carlost power on the Atlantic City Expressway. It wasidling, butit would not rev or move forward or backward. I shut it off and calledAAA. It was going to be about 1 1/2hrs I was told till they got there. After about an hour I turned the key and it started right up I drove it another 10-12 miles to Somers Pointbefore the bridge to Ocean City where it did the same thing. Itwas towed to a AAA garage in Somers Point. They told me the car goes into "protective" mode. It basically shuts itself down so you don't hurt it. I have never heard of such a thing, but I am no mechanic. They said the couldn't look at it till Sunday, this was late Friday afternoon. They give us a ride to the hotel and I wait to hear from them. Sunday comes and they call. They say they think it may be a bad cylinder but they can tell unless they change the sparkplugs and wiresand adjust some things, but they think that is all it should be. I tell them ok.I get a call back late Sunday afternoon near dinner time and the say the motor is shot. They feel bad about telling me they could fix it, so they are going to eat the cost of the parts and just charge me 100.00 to cover some of the labor. The garage is across the street from a enterprise rental place, but I can't get a car till Monday. Monday comes and Enterprise come to the hotel and picks us up.I sign the papers for a Jeep and go across the street to paythe garage the 100.00 for what they did.I tell they it will be a couple of days till I can come back to get it. They say that's fine and they are sorryagain for the inconvenience. I say I need to get some things out of the car and the guy at the countertells some kid to get the keys and get the blue Subaru. 5 min later this kid drives up in the car. Now again I am no mechanic, but amotor that is shot should not run. The kid says he topped off all the fluids and the car is ready to go. Again I am like WTF. I ask the guy at the counter is the motor shot or not, it sounds fine. He said he really doesn't know, he didn't work on it and those who did are not there. I said the hell with it and I tell my girlfriend to drive theJeep and I start driving the car home. No problems, no lights, no noise.Until I get to outsideRed Lion, NJ. Same thing. No power, just idles.AAA and tell them tow it to my house. We go home in the Jeep and the car comes the next day. I had asked them to take a peek at it and they saywhen they drop the car off, the motor is shot. Again WTF. so I go and buy a new Subaru Legacy that looks just the old one. Now that it id home it does have a noise. My friend said he thinks it is a wrist pin? what ever that is. So I am selling this car as is. Pretend it doesn't even have a motor. The seats have some tears andare dirty. Other that that and what I explained in this long story, the car worked extremely well for me. Tosomeone who wrecked their car and need a good body this is for you. All glass is good. All power windows work.It could be a good car for the right person under the right circumstances. If you have questions please ask.It starts and drives, you can drive it on a trailer. To all bidders good luck.
