I am the original owner of this car. All drivers were non-smoking. I'm selling it because it has a lot of miles on it. and the creaks and age of the vehicle concern me as the younger drivers in the family need a reliable vehicle while they attend an out-of-state college. Personally. I would take the vehicle on an all day drive and expect to make it. but - as I have advised my kids - if it were to break down on the trip. use AAA to get back to town but don't authorize any repairs!I have tried to list all of the defects that I can recall in the "condition" section. but be aware there could be some issues that I inadvertently missed or I've lived with them for so long. I don't see them any more. The paint is in bad shape. As described above. it is a "chalky" white. It is dull and. sometimes. it kind of makes a powder if you rub against it. The body has a lot of scrapes. dings. scratches. pock marks or how ever you might want to describe defects. You can see the marks on the front bumper where a wooden mailbox pole was hit. I don't recall a lot of rust. There is a spot on the left rear taillight where the light itself was broken against a truck tailgate and it cracked the paint around that opening. Also. the lift gate handle is rusty and affects its operation. as noted above. As far as maintenance. it has gotten pretty much regular oil changes - but the duration between changes is a lot longer because the vehicle is hardly driven. The car is on its second timing belt (changed as preventative maintenance) that was installed during December 2012 at about 160. 00 miles. During that same work. I also changed the hoses. drive belts. CV joints. ball joints. tie rod ends and antifreeze. Unlike the first timing belt (at around 90. 00 miles or so - by the dealer). I did not change the water pump because I could not break one of the bolts on a drive pulley. (If you buy the car. remind me and I'll give you the water pump if I can find it in the garage. )It has been a good car. but the repetitive wheel noises (wheel bearings?). plus the 20-year age of the vehicle and the original parts are driving me to sell it. This car is sold "as is". After the $50 deposit. the rest of the balance is due in Cash when the vehicle is picked up. If reasonable arrangements cannot be made to complete the purchase of the vehicle within 10 days. then the deposit will be forfeited and the car will be relisted for sale. I do not offer a warranty of any kind. I am not responsible for any defects that I might have missed in the description. Lastly. the car may have a few more miles on it (no more than 100 more miles) than shown in the listing if it is driven while for sale in this listing. Please contact me if you have any questions. Regarding the reported "Accident" - The car was bumped in the rear while waiting on a stop light at an intersection. The other driver immediately turned to the right and drove off. I reported the incident to the local police dept. There were a couple of marks on the rear bumper. but no work was performed on the car as a result of this incident.
