Description

Up for auction is my 81 Celica GT 5 speed convertible. It was made byAmerican Custom Coachworks of Beverly Hills, alifornia. They produced approximately 900 full convertibles. These are 4-seaters, etaining the back seat, nd do not have a targa-top and integrated roll bar. A fire at the company several years later destroyed primary sources of historical records. All that remains are secondary sources. Here is your chance to own 1 of those 900. It is in good shape for it's age. I've owned it for a year now, ut the car has been stored for several years before me. I cleaned out the tank, eplaced the fuel pump and filter when I got it. It runs and drives but will still need some work to return to a daily driver. Just regular maintenance type stuff. Tires have good tread but have dry rot, eeds wiper blades. It will need a new top if you choose, t is torn in same area on both sides. I just left it down and kept it in my garage. Pulling it out to get the pictures i noticed a small spot on the floor, o it may have an oil leak now. Also the left front brake seems sticky, ut brakes still function. Just trying to list all I know. The a/c is complete but does not work, ost likely needing a recharge. The blower fan also does not work. I never checked into it. I never drove it far enough to test the cruise control. The lights work, auges work with possibly the exception of the fuel gauge. I've never seen it go much above the "E" but again i never have put much gas back into it. The body has a little rust but not what you would expect from an older Toyota. At the very bottom of both rear Q-panels there is some through rust. Also at the rear outer edge of both rocker panels. And some small pinholes on left rear wheel well where the paint is gone. It has a couple more small areas of just surface rust also where the paint has chipped off. It has been repainted at some point and color was changed to a darker red. Original color is in the engine compartment. The floors and frame are in great shape. The doors still shut nicely. It does have some dings in it and dents/dings to the top of the passenger front fender and hood. The interior is in fair shape. The passenger seat has some splits in the bottom. The dash does have some cracks. The drivers side head rest has been replaced and painted to match interior. Also the right side sun visor is missing. So here is your chance to own a cool convertible. Now the legal stuff. 3 day auction with low reserve. Please only bid if you actually want to buy the car. I do not have time for games. I just want some of my garage space back. A 250.00 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end and full payment within 3 days. The car can remain here for a reasonable time before you pick it up but it must be paid in full within 3 days. I personally would not drive it home. It runs good to be driven away, just wouldn't trust the dry rot in the tires. Less than "10" feedback bidders must call me or your bids will be deleted. I have listed all i know and remember about my car, othing to hide. 100% good feedback. Any questions or if you want to view the car, ust call me. 302-531-5185
