This 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD is ready for you! We purchased a dually with the exact same drivetrain (Duramax / Allison) for heavier towing and just don’t use this truck enough to justify keeping it. I hate to see it sitting lonely in the garage every time I walk past. I purchased this truck from a dealer in Texas and have loved it ever since. We always do a full synthetic fluid change on our vehicles and I am OCD about scheduled maintenance. I’ve been a GMC fan for a long time but this truck has me sold on Duramax. I have not had any trouble out of this truck at all. It has started and performed every single time we jumped in it. I am lucky enough to have a Duramax shop close by and they installed a EFI Live tune with DSP5 and an EGR delete. In addition, hey did a new stainless exhaust from front to back. The result was a truck that runs a lot cleaner and gets pretty impressive fuel mileage. I can easily average 22 to 24 MPG on a trip with this set-up. If I baby the truck a little I can get over 25 MPG. When I hit “tow mode” the fuel mileage drops to 15 to 18 MPG. The truck starts, uns, nd drives great. I had a full service done on 6/19/2015 with no issues found.
The oil change was done with the service on 6/19. As always, e use full synthetic oil. All service has been done by a licensed / certified auto shop. We also placed a brand new set of Michelin tires on the truck. They literally have less than 5 miles on them. The 17” factory alloys are in good condition. There may be normal wear to the wheels.
The exterior of the truck is in good condition overall. I noticed a few rock chips in the paint as I washed it. There are 2 or 3 scratches in the paint as well. I tried to get photos of them and they are in the listing. The bed is coated by Line-X with contractor grade bed liner. The contractor grade is about twice as thick as the consumer grade. There is a retractable gooseneck ball in the bed of the truck. I’ve only used the gooseneck a handful of times but it has worked fine when I used it. There was an auxiliary fuel tank in the bed of the truck that has been removed. The line has been capped off and is still in the bed of truck. The LED tailights make this truck stand out from the crowd. The OEM rear lights will be included as well.
The interior of the truck is clean and free of odors. I didn’t smoke in the truck or have any pets in the truck. The carpet looks almost like new since I installed WeatherTech floor mats in the front and rear of the cab. Those mats will be included with this truck. The photos show the mats out of the truck. The electronics all work as they should. The mirrors are manual extendable tow mirrors. The full center console is something I would never go without in a truck, ow that I’ve had this one. The XM radio is another feature that kept me awake for those long hours on the road. This truck has remote entry, lectric locks, lectric windows (all four), ower driver’s seat, lectronic select (on-the-fly) 4x4, ual auto climate control, teering wheel controls for cruise and radio. OnStar is installed on the vehicle in the auto-dimming mirror with direction and temperature display. The only flaw in the interior that I know of is a repaired tear in the driver’s seat. The interior lights have all been changed to LED 6500K bulbs. Dash lights are all OEM.
I would literally jump in this truck and head anywhere in the US. I’ve done it a number of times in the last few years for my job. This truck has spent a lot of time on the interstates of our great Country. From east to west coast, orth to south, t has visited nearly all fifty states. Don’t let the high miles scare you on this truck, have seen more than 1 Duramax with over a million miles.
This is not a show truck and probably wouldn’t win a trophy at your local drive-in, ut it is a really strong truck that has only started to live its life. If you need a comfortable ride that won’t break the bank, his is your ticket.
I want you to be fully aware of any issues I know of. The few dents or scratches are noted in the photos. There is a “service airbag” light that comes on occasionally. I had the light scanned and the dealership said it was a front sensor. The sensor is pretty cheap but the labor to get to it was going to be about $400. Since it is only one of multiple sensors in the front, just clear the message from the dash when it comes on. Other than that, don’t have anything but great things to say about the truck. I hate to see it go.
I can provide shipping anywhere in the US. If we happen to be coming your way, e may be able to do for just the fuel money. Email for a quote, f you’re interested.
Good luck!
