Description

Hello and thank you for viewing my 2002 Toyota Land Cruiser! I am the original owner and bought her new in 2001 and have had the pleasure of driving her over 265k wonderful and memorable miles. WITHOUT EVER AN ISSUE!!! I am serious when I say that this has been the most reliable car that I have ever owned and it has never let me down and quite frankly I don't see it letting anyone down in the near future. I just drove it (a month ago) from San Diego to British Columbia Canada and back. a total of 3200 miles and never once did I feel unsafe or had any fear of breaking down. IT JUST WONT!!! These engines are historically bullet proof and this baby is no exception. I hate to giver her up but all of my children now have their own cars and I just do not need the room for transporting everyone around as she seats a total of eight. I thought about driving her until she dies but looking forward to driving something compact and sportier for myself and it doesn't make sense to be paying insurance on a vehicle that I will not drive. It's time for someone else to enjoy her and appreciate what she has still yet to give. There are zero. 0. no. nada. leaks to mention. never has been. After warranties expired I turned it over to my local jiffy Lube for all regular scheduled maintenance from oil changes to radiator flushes. and everything in between. What ever was recommended I did! I may have a waited a little longer at times due to cash restraints or schedule conflicts but it was always done and I think that is one of the reasons why she has lasted so long. She was in a minor accident where a car was sliding and spinning uncontrollably down an icy hill in Lake Tahoe and side swiped the right side as I stood and watched helplessly. All damage was scraping and paint and such and no frame or bumper or airbag issues. She has the usual scratches and minor dings that you would expect and of course some wear on the interior where my arm would rest on the middle arm rest and the driver window ledge. There are no rips in the leather just worn in the usual spots. The rear seats are removable and present and operable. I did replace the speakers a couple of years ago as they were torn/blown a little but original Bose stereo is still in place and sounding good. I have added a trailer hitch years ago as I towed a jet ski around for a summer. Everything works as it should (power seats. windows. sunroof. etc. ) with exception of the GPS. It went out a couple of years ago and I read that they usually have a shelf life of 10 years and that it was about 1k to replace. Didn't make sense to me as I can use my phone if needed. There is a Sirius receiver installed (aftermarket) but you would have to activate it under your name if you choose. It is a 4 wheel drive and I never had it "off roading" as in mud and dirt and abuse but have had it in 4 wheel drive many times in the snow in Lake Tahoe and never had issues and it is extremely reliable in the snow. The 4 wheel drive Land Cruisers are legendary off road vehicles. The air conditioning blows ice cold and quite frankly I am not even sure if I have ever had it charged but it is damn cold none the less. It also has A/C in the rear with rear controls. I had new brakes installed in June of 2014. new shocks November of 2013. and just put new matching tires (to match the front that have about 5k miles on them) on the rear. The serpentine belt was replaced in June 2013 as well. Registration paid in November and smog check just completed and passed as well. it has never failed! I think that is it but sure there will be questions that I am happy to answer. Of course I recommend a pre-buy inspection and will be happy to accommodate upon request. I am proud to have owned this vehicle as it was great addition to our family and never let us down.
