2001 Toyota Prius Hybrid!

Here is your chance to get a Prius Hybrid that is currently running but with some mechanical issues at a great discount. This isbeing driven locally as mydaily driver but two weeks ago I got a check engine light with a red triangle warning so I took it to Toyota and they said my Torque limiter was sliding (it's like a clutch in a manual transmission car) and needed to be replaced. The error code for the Prius mechanics out there wasP3120 with a sub-code of 241. I do not have the time, echanical ability or money to dothis repair so my loss could very well be your gain.

The car is running and I am currently driving it locally but you have to drive it like an old lady or it will error out and stop. If you try and take-off too fast or try going up a hill or take it on the highway it will error out again and shut-down so I do not recommend anyone try and drive it home! The part that is damaged is like a clutch between the electric motor and the gas engine.

This would be a great purchase for someone wanting to repair it themselves or use it as a parts car if they already have a 2001-2003 Prius because it has a running engine, good hybrid battery, good inverter and is in pretty good condition inside and outside (Florida and Texas car) considering it is 15 years old. Someone could even purchase the car and sell mostof the parts on ebay and you could double or even triple your money... a used hybrid battery alone is selling on ebay for around $1,200.00 - $1,500.00!

The current issues with the car are the torque limiter is sliding, he front windshield is cracked (shown in the pictures, he tires have about 40% life left on them, he rear passenger door lock sometimes sticks and wont always open or lock with the remote, he clock does not work, he front lower cowling is cracked, he car has been hit from behind and hasminimal damage that can be seen in the pictures,and there are dings and scratches here and there.

Like I said the car is no spring chicken but I believe it has great value for the backyard mechanic or for a current Prius owner who wants a parts car with a strong hybrid battery to keep his Prius running for years and years or for the business man who wants to double or triple his money by parting out the car. I have tried to be as honest as possible with this listing but this car will be sold as is and with no warranty of any kind. I can also senda video of the car currently driving around town (just send me youremail) with no error codes or check engine codes as long as I drive slow but if I were to floor it or push it the codes would be back in a flash and the car would most likely shut down!
