This gorgeous little 5-speed sports car features the ultra-rare and desirable hardtop/ragtop configuration - an option available exclusively via import from the UK. Needless to say, here are not many of these around in the US! As if that weren't enough, t also boasts the sought-after British racing green color scheme, nd a mere 70,824 miles on the odometer!!! If you're reading this you are probably aware that the MR2 line was discontinued in 2005. Since that time the 2000 model years in particular have developed a considerable cult status among collectors, nd even amidst enthusiasts this exceptional specimen is sure to turn a few heads.
The vehicle has been driven and treated with the utmost care, nd serviced regularly. Mechanically it is flawless, nd nearly perfect cosmetically as well. The only visible defects are some minor weather-incurred discoloration on areas of the ragtop, hich may very well clean up quite easily, nd a small tear of approximately one inch in length (see photos). These flaws have been accounted for in the asking price, s a car this unique could easily command $15,000+ in like-new condition.
I inherited the car from my father, ho purchased it from a physician friend who, o my knowledge, as the original owner, o rest assured that it has been in good hands throughout its existence. I adore this car, s it is an absolute pleasure to drive (the handling in particular is PHENOMENAL), nd am selling it only because I need something a little more practical (specifically, ble to haul stuff).
