1978 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser in excellent condition. I'm a Land Cruiserenthusiast and collector who has owned over 40 (I've lost count) over the years. I'm addicted tochasing down nice examples butunfortunately I can't keep them all. I often thin the herd here on eBay and if you search my feedback you'll find many satisfied customers from all over the US and Canada.
I found thissolid original 40in Wichita, S last year. It was owned by an older gentleman who had a few other very nice classic cars. I ended up paying more than I wanted since solid rust free examples are getting harder to find. The paint was a little faded so I had it repainted base coat/clearcoat in theoriginal Rustic Green. I also had the headliner replaced and installed a newwindshield. Mechanically it was very sorted and it runs and drives as good or better than any other 40 I've owned. Starts right up with an electric choke and new Weber carb. Drives effortlessly with the addition of power steering. Sounds good with a header and dual exhaust. Could use a set of tires but I didn't have the heart to replace the 33x9.5 BFG All Terrain's. They've been discontinued and I think they look perfect on slightly lifted 40's.A new set of BFG All Terrain K02 tires will be installed at the 'Buy It Now' price. Nobrake fade, hifts smoothly and the clutch is strong.
If you're looking for a great looking and driving 'turn-key' FJ40 thatwon't break the bank then this isyour truck. I also have a frame-off restored '78 and I'm much more comfortable drivingthis one. Below you will find over 100 hi-res pictures. Please message me with any questions.
