Cylinder head probably needs work. Honestly not sure what the problem is, ut don't think it is the head gasket. No tell-tale signs, lus I put a new one in 3 years ago. I love this truck and do not want to part with it. However, his is our family car and we live in the city (Chicago) and only have one parking space. I can do the work myself, ut don't have time or space here. So I have two choices. First, can put it in the shop and be without transportation till the problem is diagnosed and fixed or buy something else. My wife has lobbied hard for the latter. So here we are...
Used cylinder heads can be purchased from cruiserparts.net starting at $350.00. If you have the time and space to do it, his might be a good idea. If I were keeping it, 'd have the head removed, leaned and checked for cracks. Better to keep original parts in my view.
