1983 is the last year for Rear Wheel Drive Corollas, xcept for the famous and expensive AE86. This is an Unmolested and UNMODIFIED car.
1983 is the first year with 4A engine which was running on the next FWD corollas until 1997. This is MANUAL, ost of the wagons are automatic and boring. Many fans just swap a 4AGE ( AE86 engine) to make it faster. It is a popular easy swap.
The 4A Engine is running perfect with no Issues at all. It gets 28-30 mpg. No overheating, o smoke, o leaks. Drives Fantastic on the Interstate I-5. Starts very easy in the mornings.
