Available for auction is highly sought after 1978 Land Cruiser fj40. This classic fj40 is in good condition inside. out. and underneath. This is a frame off restoration with no expense spared. . It’s spent its entire life in California although it is registered in Oregon. meticulously maintained. and cared for it is registered in Oregon due to California smog. This vehicle currently will not pass California smog. This is an excellent example of a 1970’s fj40 that runs and drives like a dream. This 1970s landcruiser is highly sought after due to upgrades like a 327 engine out of a 1971 Chevy truck that is machined out 10 over with a later model 350 injection heads. a Comp Cam. and an Edelbrock manifold. A Serpentine Belt system has been added from a Chevy which includes a water pump and a power steering pump. The transmission is a 1993 NV4500 Transmission with low-range 1st and has been rebuilt to better than new and has an Advanced Adapter bell housing. An Advance Adapter Transfer case kit was used with the stock Transfer case and it has been rebuilt as well. The clutch is a Luk clutch. The brakes are 4 way disc brakes with a brake boost. PSC 3. 5 turn ratio power steering with the Advance Adapter power steering kit. The Differentials are stock and have been rebuilt. A high performance HEI distributer from Chevy has been installed along with a digital fuel-injection system. This vehicle stays cool with the Spal high-speed fans and the 4 core radiator. It has a new battery. shocks. muffler. and Am/FM radio with Pioneer speakers. The list goes on and on. There is no rust and I have included photos of the rear tub. The Body and paint are a 10 out of a 10 and was professionally done. No expense was spared and this vehicle was built to never be sold but things change. All of the lights. fenders. and badges are O.
