Description

I would very much like to keep this 4Runner, but we need a bigger vehicle (and got a Sequoia because we like this one so much). I had planned to keep it for a very long time, and so put a lot of time and effort into keeping it up. If you know anything about these UZ Toyota engines, you know that they go forever.
Here is a list of parts and maintenance from the last 1-2 years:
  • Pads and rotors all around. Calipers in the front.
  • Front bearing assemblies
  • Shocks and struts all around-- Monroes in the front, adjustable Ranchos in the back.
  • Front: Lower ball joints, upper control arms, tie rod ends, and sway links (Moog)
  • Radiator and fan clutch
  • Battery
  • Fluid changed/ flushed in the tranny, both differentials, and transfer case
  • Both front axle shafts
  • Timing belt/ water pump at 100k (not in the last 2 years...)
  • Always change the oil with Mobile 1 synthetic 5W-30, when the Service light comes on.
Options on the truck (all work):
  • Kenwood CD player with steering wheel control adapter (so they still control the stereo)
  • Sunroof
  • Tow package
  • Most of the normal power options-- locks, windows
  • Full time 4wd
  • Auto temp control (AC blows cold)
As you can see in the pictures, the truck is in great shape-- particularly for a 13 yo vehicle. It isn't perfect, but it runs and drives quiet and solid. I take it on long trips (2-3 hours) all the time with no worries.
It doesn't "need" anything, but here are its flaws:
  • There's a split in the rear seam of the muffler. It isn't loud at all, but should be replaced in a year or two.
  • The tires are at about 40-50%. They're in good, but not great shape. The wheels have some wear and bubbles on them.
  • There's a small chip in the passenger side of the window. It has been there for years, and hasn't grown (doesn't have any cracks or edges), and I never see it.
  • I've never put it in 4-Lo, because I haven't needed to. I'm selling it as though that doesn't work, but it probably does. I just don't want it to get stuck. 4-Hi works fine, and the differential lock engages and disengages fine.
  • The rear hatch window doesn't roll down, and the rear wiper doesn't work.
If you have any questions, need any more pictures, or are local and want to see it, feel free to contact Aaron.
Buyer is responsible for picking up the vehicle in North Canton OH. If you are reasonably (say a couple of hours) close, I might be able to work something out to meet you half way. In any case, please contact me if you have any questions before bidding.
