HANDICAP WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE (READ BELOW)
You are looking at a great handicap accessible minivan. This is my own personal van and I could tell you everything about it.
I’ve purchased it from an auction with a salvage title due to a prior accident. It was professionally checked and did all of the repairs needed which wasn’t anything major, it was only brakes and oil change when I purchased it.
Everything was carefully checked and I could tell you that engine, transmission and everything else work great with no problems but there are warning lights on the odometer that wouldn’t go away as you see on the picture and my mechanic told me that I should just take it to Toyota dealership to program it if I wanted them to go away but if I didn’t it wouldn’t harm anything and I didn’t go because I didn’t get the chance. I have even driven it back and forth few times between Minneapolis and Chicago (about 850 miles round trip) in the past few month and did not face any trouble. It’s a great van and I am only selling it due to a health condition and will not be able to drive it for God knows how long and I don’t want it to sit in the garage.
You will definitely not regret buying this great van.
HANDICAP FEATURES (VMI):
The van could be driven normally with a handicap person as a passenger or by a handicap person as the driver, but if you are a handicap person and want to drive it you will need to install hand controls for the gas and brake, because the hand controls I’ve been using will NOT come with the van. The ones I’ve been using are universal ones and I prefer that you install permanent hand controls for bestsafetywhich aren’t expensive, other than that the van is fully loaded withhandicap features:
· 10” Lowered Floor.
· Automatic Fold Out Ramp.
· Automatic Sliding doors with sensor & door opener on the ramp side that will give an order to the ramp to come out automatically once the door is opened.
· Open and Close buttons for the sliding door and ramp near the driver on the dashboard and by the sides of the door from the inside for easy access either way, (Hold the button for few seconds and the door will open automatically and the ramp will come out).
· Kneel System (which will work automatically with the ramp and door, it’s job is to lower the van even more to get it closer to the ground and make the ramp easy to get in and out and it has an ON and OFF button near the driver but it should always been ON).
· Magnet sensor on the tail right light to get access from the outside to open the door and ramp automatically and you call VMI and request a remote control instead.
· Six way swivel driver seat to make it easy for a handicap driver to transfer to it and drive (it moves up & down, right & left, backward and forward).
· Ground rails to tie down the wheelchair but I have never used them and don’t even have tie downs, I just leave the wheelchair in the middle but if this van will be used for a handicap person as a passenger then you will need the tie down (I probably have few somewhere, if you need them ask me and I will try finding them for you).
· Removable passenger seat
The exterior of the van:
The van looks great with few scratches as shown on pictures, nothing big and it just looks great. Overall the paint looks very good.
It also has fog lights and nice aluminum rims.
The interior of the van:
It looks great from the inside as well with many great options as listed below and the only thing I might point out to look at is the carpet, it needs dry clean but it’s normal for it to get dirty because of the wheelchair, however I’ve just purchased a carpet and put it on top and you could see it in the pictures.
There are many great options:
· Leather Seats in good condition.
· Power seats.
· Power windows.
· Power mirrors.
· Bluetooth with speaker middle mirror that you could dial numbers though it when you pair it with your phone and even store numbers in it, it sounds great and you will love it.
· Power vents.
· CD Player.
· Cassette Player.
· Beautiful sound system.
· Steering cruise and radio control.
· Air bags.
· Power sliding doors.
· Power lift gate.
· DVD Player.
· Stow seats.
· Power outlets (2 in the back 15V)
I am sure that I’ve missed to mention other things but I could tell you that this van has almost every option that you need or want in a car. It’s really a great van and I love it and hope that you enjoy it as much as I did.
Good Luck!
