Also have a video of the car when it was very new. This is 1 of 331 big block Formula S fastback four speed barracudas. I am not aware of any other big block barracudas having fast ratio steering. Galien Gover said this is extremely rare. I have owned this car for over 25 years and am selling to fund another project. I believe I am the third owner. Car is from Idaho and is about as rust free as you will find. A patch about the size of a quarter was fixed in the lower rear quarter when it was painted 18 years ago. There are a few small bubbles in the pass rocker which may need attention. however. this is very localized and will require very little effort to repair. Car is solid! Paint looks very nice for a driver or summer show-and-shine but has numerous rock chips. If you want it perfect. a new paint job is in order. I planned on driving it for another 10 years or so before I planned on doing a first rate restoration. I have always said I "preserved" the car. It doesn't get much better than this - Best color in 69. four speed big block fastback barracuda. all numbers matching. Engine was recently rebuilt with nearly 4500$ invested. I did not skimp on building this engine. It is better than a stock rebuild. Engine was balanced and has a Comp Hi-Energy 268 cam for a little more rumble. 906 heads have new valves. springs. retainers. distributor. KB pistons. Engine was professionally sleeved for three of the cylinders. This preserved the numbers matching engine. Engine was assembled with the rare big block exhaust manifolds ( expensive to find). correct PN carbr and intake manifold. Carb was built to stock specs. Car also the correct PN radiator (expensive!) which is very hard to find. A brand new electronic distributor was installed along with a new harmonic balancer (this is a safety issue to not use a fifty year old one). Engine has 69 valve covers and 69 air cleaner. Transmission is numbers matching and has been rebuilt. Front suspension was rebuilt with Polygraphite bushings and all new parts. Car has rare Torque Thrust small bolt pattern wheels and look awesome on the car. Bumpers were rechromed and look extremely nice. The rear bumper on the side has a small dimple that I believe could be pushed out without the need to rechrome. 2. 5 inch exhaust is new with x-pipe and includes new exhaust tips. I welded in flanges front and rear to allow the entire center section of exhaust to be removed as a unit. Allows for easy transmission access. I have a small box of parts for the car which include: original bench seat hinge covers (cracked). rear seat hinge covers. headlight trim rings. parts to install the trunk divider (hinge. trim pieces. latches. original plywood divider). back seat belts. window cat whiskers. The only upgrade I would do if I kept the car is to get a new engine wiring harness and maybe a different clutch. The original 3. 23 gear set was put in during the engine rebuild. The car has not been in a major collision. The original passenger door was dented in pretty good and was not worth saving and was replaced with a 68 door. I replaced the driver door with a matching 68 door. This was cheaper than trying to fix the dent in the door. At the time. I didn't know there was a difference between the 67/8 and the 69 doors. I have a good pair of 69 doors for extra if desired. The passenger fender required more work to fix than it was worth and replaced with another (i think it was a 68 fender as well) from a donor barracuda. However. the 68 front fender is slightly different than the 69 where the trim ring installs. I never got around to fixing that. It is an easy fix by welding in a couple of 69 specific brackets to install the trim rings. I also installed a drive shaft loop many years ago. I only drilled a couple of holes in the floor which can easily be repaired.
