1976 VW BUS
2.0L ENGINEAUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
If you are searching for VWs there isn't too much to say that you do not already know. You know what you are looking for. This VW Bus is in good working order, nd needs just a little attention to get it properly restored.
The engine starts up immediately and runs great after initial warm up. The original fuel injection has been removed in favor of a Weber carburetor, hich is much more reliable. The transmission shifts smoothly with no worries.
The exterior has some rust in places that will need attention. They are pictured. However, nderneath the bus is where it really surprises. The floor pans and associating braces are well in tact with only minor surface rust and peeling cosmoline (undercoating).
The interior is in great shape as well. The original bench seats are all intact and showing minimal wear. The only thing missing is the original carpet which was replaced by a rug by the previous owner.
This is a great survivor- true southern bus - that will require just a little attention to get it back to its original glory.
Please do not hesitate to call or text anytime 504-957-2970 if you have any questions.
I have plenty more detailed pictures of the bus when I had it up on our rack.
