1970 Opel GT Coupe 2-Door 1.9L -Runs and Drives! Great Project!
This Opel GT has an Excellent interior as can be seen in the pictures. The only real flaws in the interior is the seat cover on the drivers side bolster and a couple dashboard cracks... everything else is in very good shape. All switches, knobs, lights (interior and exterior), turn signals, etc. work. The original Solex carb has been replaced with a Weber and runs, shifts and stops, but could definitely use a good full tune up and going through. Don't plan any cross-country trips just yet. ;)
The only major flaws are the rust situation along the lower quarter panels, lower doors and passenger shock tower and the headlight retract mechanism. The drivers door window regulator also needs to be tweaked as the cable slips off when rolling the window.
Other than those points mentioned, this is an excellent base for an Opel GT restoration!
