You are bidding on a 1973 VW Westfalia camper van. The 59000 miles are said to be original as well as only 2 previous owners. excluding myself. Vehicle was originally purchased and driven in California then spent the remaining 18 years in the Midwest as a fair weather camper only. The last owner has kept a fair amount of maintenance records that help to document the miles as well as the care of the vehicle. In addition to regular maintenance. the vehicle also had an engine rebuild at approx. 38000 miles. The last owner also had a rear heater unit installed fueled by a propane tank mounted on underside of vehicle. Can also be adapted for a cook stove or grill. Description as follows: Mechanical: * original motor. rebuilt approx. 20000 miles ago. * new tires * 4 speed manual. shifts fine. a little sloppy?
