Description

Selling a 97 Volkswagen Golf. 190k miles. manual transmission. cold AC. good engine/clutch/transmission. It needs the radiator fan replaced. it runs but will overheat quickly. There is a crack in the passenger side of the windshield. The back seat cushions were removed. not the back rests. and they were replaced by couch cushions. The seats are easy to pull out of a junkyard. The AC is cold but cannot be used until the radiator fan is replaced. The AC compressor was replaced about a year ago. but it runs 24/7 which causes extra stress on the radiator fan. The muffler and exhaust were replaced about a year ago. Most of the body and paint are in good condition. almost no visible rust. all of the lights work except the light above the license plate. Windshield wipers work. sunroof works. The locks are having issues. I think only the drivers side really locks but it arms the alarm when you lock the drivers door. The wheel bearings were replaced several months ago. The tires are in fair condition. This car could be driven upon purchase. but not in the middle of the heat. Car is registered in Pennsylvania until October. and still insured. No reserve. $300 deposit required within 72 hours of auction end. On Apr-15-15 at 12:12:31 PDT. seller added the following information: ** The horn also doesn't work. I drove the car this morning before it was too warm. and it runs very well. There is a slight rattle sound from the exhaust/muffler vibrating against the heat shield. When I took the car back to the place that replaced the muffler and exhaust. they told me the only way to stop the rattle sound completely is to remove the heat shield. I took this car to Wolf Auto repair here in Las Vegas and the main things they said need work are the radiator fan. and the electrical problem which is causing the AC compressor to stay on all the time. The vehicle speed sensor is also not functioning. and might have something to do with the check engine light being on. The airbag light is also on. The front wheel bearings were both replaced about two months ago in California. Oil changes every 3 months. Please let me know if you have any questions. thanks.
