HELLO! Up for sale is my Turbo diesel 1982 Westfalia Full camper! I've owned this camper for the last couple years. and the time has come to re-home her to a new owner. 158k miles Clean title I updated the interior to the beige upholstery with swiveling captains chairs out of a 1985 parts westy. The exterior of the van is in excellent original condition! Paint is all original except the rear drivers side above the wheel well. The paint matched up very well to the original paint. but still slightly noticeable. There is NO RUST in any window seams. undercarriage or body seams! The slider door handle is loose. but functions fine. There are paint chips and standard signs of wear/dings for a 33 year old van. but still very nice and presentable as you can tell from the photos. The interior is in good shape as well. The stove. sink. fridge. and outlets all function great. The fridge works on both propane and 120v. Some interior panels have been replaced and the curtains are custom frog print. The pop top and luggage rack seal is new and the canvas is original with one tear along the zipper near the mosquito net. Pretty impressive for being original! This van is physically in great condition with some tasteful updates/modifications! (Turbo diesel. Alloy VW rims. interior upholstery/panels. Gowesty box hookups etc. ) The transmission and clutch work great. Tires have tread but will need to be replaced to be considered "road trip ready" and reliable. A year ago it was revving out of control so I parked it. and recently swapped the injector pump to a used rebuilt pump out of a 1991 Jetta Turbo diesel. The van runs and drives. but will definitely need some fine tuning. exhaust work. and an oil leak fixed. I believe the oil leak is coming from the back of the motor. which could mean the motor might need to be pulled. so keep that in mind. It also runs more sluggish than normal since the injector pump was swapped. which makes me feel like the timing and injector need to be adjusted. This is a great find for a mechanic or someone who's looking for a SOLID base to a potentially awesome camper. I would be asking $15k or more for this van if it was mechanically sound. The motor was swapped to a 1. 6 turbo diesel by the previous owner. The engine lid was modified to fit the top of the injector pump. I have a $4. 00 receipt for the motor rebuild less than 8k miles ago. I reached my 24 photo limit for the listing. but still have several more photos upon request! Good luck and happy bidding! The van is being sold through my business to make it an easy transaction for out of state or out of country buyers. I can help with shipping anywhere in the world.
