I'm sellin my VW Super Beetle that I converted to electric about 8 years ago. Since converting it I've put on about 10. 00 miles. As for the speed and range. I did hit 60 mph once but i'd say it tops out at 55 mph. I do drive it on the expressway. As for the range i've maxed out at 50 miles. it really matters how you aggressive you are in driving. I have the high amp gauge so I could see what i'm drawing. The range is going to vary from trip to trip depending on how hilly the area is and the condition of the batteries. The facts; 19hp AMD single shaft dc motor. Adaptor plate from motor to VW transmission. Curtis 72-120 volt/400amp controller. Curtis potbox. Albright main contractor. Ferraz fuse 400a/150V. Zivan DC-DC converter. 12 Trojan T-145 6V batteries. nbsp; Coker Tires. Zivan 3kw 72DC 230AC battery chrger. You can tell by the photos i have a gas gauge. Volt gauge. high amp gauge and low amp gauge. I've also rebuilt the pedal assy. it has air shocks in the rear. new brakes all the way around. I've been good at keeping up with any repairs on the vehicle as they came up. This is a good car for someone that knows about EV or is into learning about them. EV cars in general are a little quirky and hard to find someone that works on them. I do have a heater but never installed it. The down side of the car; the sunroof leaks so I put caulk on it to stop it (the sunroof doesn't work anyway) There is some rust on the undercarriage. I can send photos of it if you would like. I replaced all the batteries about two and a half years ago and one of them went bad about a year ago so I replaced that. I think another is bad because the range has dropped down greatly. the last time I drove it i got about 9 miles befor it ran out of power. that's an indication of a bad battery. I haven't tested them so i'm not 100% sure. I have all the recipts and paper work from the conversion. I have a total of about $14. 00 in the car
