1969 VW DUME BUGGY

This is my brothers, e bought it in 1978. They drove it and enjoyed it until his grandaughter Started to school. In 1983 he parked it in the back of his garage where it sat until 2014. He was going to keep it for his grandaughter when she got big enought to drive, ut she is not interested, o he desided to get it going and sell it. We cleaned the gas tank and lines,rebuilted the carburetor and fuel pump, ut new coil and points added gas and it started right up and ran great. We still could not drive it because the brakes were locked up. WE installed new master cylinder, ew wheel cylinders and brake lines,ajusted brakes and have a full pedal. We then took it out for a drive.It ran and drove like a dume buggy should. It does have a little oil leak when it is running, ut it stops when cut off. We were told it could be a gasket, fter all it has been sitting for 33 yrs. You can see in the pictures where he had it inspected just before he parked it. It has L60X15 tires on back and 6:70X15 on the front with keystone wheels. The interior is in great condition, ut the convertable top will need reparied or replaced. It had stap-in windows for the sides, ut he could only find 1 side, ut it can be used to have new ones made if a person wanted to. You just unstap the top and lay it back and enjoy it. The body is in great condition, ll we did was wash all the dust of of it. You are welcome to come by, nspect and drive it before bidding or you can send someone to do it for you.
