1978 VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE CABRIOLET PAN UP RESTORATION, NO TITLE, BILL OF SALE ONLY

7 years ago I restored this 1978 VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE CABRIOLET to present it to my Mom for her birthday. With that being said, wanted it to be a special car so we started with a completely new German pan that was treated with POR-15 before it was installed for protection against rust and corrosion. Wethen had THE ORIGINALNEW 4 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND CLUTCHPROFESSIONALLY REBUILT AND INSTALLED PLUS THE ORIGINAL MOTOR AND FUEL INJECTION SYSTEN WAS GONE THROUGH TO MAKE SURE MY MOM WOULD NOT HAE ANY PROBLEMS. We then PAINTED THE CAR WITH HIGH QUALITY SIKKENS PAINT AND WET SANDED IT UNTIL IT HAD A DEEP MIRROR LIKE FINISH THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY READ A NEWSPAPER IN. We then added A COMPLETE BRAND NEW WHITE INTERIOR, NEW WHITE CONVERTIBLE TOP (WHITE CONVERTIBLE TOP BOOT INCLUDED BUT NOT PICTURED), LACK GERMAN RUGS, GERMAN BLAUPUNKT STEREO SYSTEM, HE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WAS COMPLETELY GONE THROUGH AND UPDATED, CENTER CONSOLE WAS ADDED AND RECENTLY A BRAND NEW SET OF KUMO TIRES WERE PURCHASED AND INSTALLED AT A DISCOUNT TIRE AND ARE UNDER WARRANTY, EW BRAKES AND EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS INSTALLED AND UNDER WARRANTY, ND A NEW BATTERY WAS BOUGHT FROM NAPA AND INSTALLED WHICH IS UNDER WARRANTY. There is no rust or corrosion on the car except for the inner fender liner on the passenger side front fender but this is a bolt on part and not structural. You simply have to unbolt the front passenger fender (very easy to do) and replace the inner fender lining. The inner fender lining can be bought from a million different sources and it is a coated item that requires no paint. ALL THE TRIM AND GLASS ARE ORIGINAL AND IN FANTASTIC SHAPE. The car has HIGH DOLLAR CUSTOM WHEELS WITH BRAND NEW TIRES ALL THE WAY AROUND. The fuel injection system was retained and performs great. The front end was aligned and the rear end was leveled, ew shocks were added and the car runs and drives great. When I gave the car to my Mom for her birthday I put the title in the glove compartment and she lost it. So, have to sell the car with NO TITLE. But, ith a bill of sale, he car qualifies for a bonded title which is a simple process. My Mom lives in a gated golf community and she only drove it from her home to the country club and to her neighbors homes. The car never left her gated community except for one time when mywife and I drove it from San Antonio, x to Fredericksburg, x and back on a day trip. The car performed flawlessly. It has always been garaged and babied. As far as how beautiful the car is, will let the pictures speak for themselves. All the pictures were taken this week so what you see is what you get. This is a great car for a student or just as a fun second car. It is fun and dependable but if you don't like talking to strangers this is not the car for you because wherever the car goes it get "thumbs up" and people want totalk with you about the car. During the restoration, opted for a non stock exhaust in favor of a performance exhaust (MOMO I think) but it is not loud andobnoxious. It has a deep rich tone and is not "raspy" at all. The bumpers both front and rear are original and in great shape, heodometer shows 70,879 miles and it is believed to be correct but it is not certifiable. Overall, his car is a beautiful, ependable, lassic Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet that demands attention and would be a perfect addition to anyones garage. The car was kept stock for the most part and will gain in value year by year. Prices onclassic Volkswagens have gone through the roof in the last couple of years and there is no end in sight. Don't pass this car up, ou will regret it.
